HDT Assistance (Collison)

Didn't see a troubleshooting thread in the HDT section, so thought I'd ask here.

So I'm trying out this HDT Physics for the first time. Been pretty straight forward to install so far. Just one small issue I am having now. The collision.

I have UNPB TBBP, and everything works great. No crushed breasts or butt, jiggles are perfect, and I can tell the Physics are working just fine with all that. I even have the HDT Skirts and they work great as well (except for the occassional clipping). Would like to get the hair physics as well, but no idea where to find it. And I saw one on Nexus, but from what I read, it doesn't work with the newest update, only a specific one. If it does work, let me know and I'll grab that too.

The only thing I can't seem to get to work is the collision effect on the breasts. I'm using the Idles by Red3113, number 2. Where she slides her hands up along her breasts and it causes them to shift. Yet my breasts stay static. They don't move when her hands push against them.

I read the collision guide on the HDT section, got nifscope and followed the picture tutorial. I don't have a CBBExml file or whatever (I don't even use CBBE), so I directed it at the xml in my SKSE/Plugins folder instead (since that is the only xml I have for HDT). Yet when I log in game, still no changes. Static breasts when she moves her hands against them, no collision effect.

So if anyone could let me know what I am doing wrong, or what I might of missed, I'd be greatly appreciative, thanks.

Did you get the HDT.rar here that is the collision .xml you need.

You should have these in your SKSE plugin folder:

hdt.xml (female collision)

hdtm.xml (male collision)

hdtPhysicsExtensions.dll

hdtPhysicsExtensionsDefaultBBP.xml

I think you also need to rename/delete skeleton_female.hkx for the collision to work properly for the idle.

But i would like to add some questions too:

1. When i rename/delete the skeleton_female.hkx my chars breasts change shape (i use 7B) they don't deform or squash they just look a lot like UNPB breast shape than the 7B more rounded shape (can provide screenies if need) does anyone else notice this or know how to fix?.

2. What does the male version of hdt actually do?.

3. Can get the breast and butt movement on some of the non T/BBP sex anims (AP doggystyle), tho very very subtle do i need to configure the hdt.xml for more movement?.

1: That's because the breast is now calculated by the HDT Physics system, I believe. Though it depends on which skeleton you use. The UNPB Oppai body has the same issue, with some skeletons the breasts look very deflated.

2: Enables collision between the male body and the female body, in theory at least, never got it working myself.

3: I don't know if you can edit the values only for certain animations, but I doubt it. So unless you want hyper-jelly boobs I don't think so.

Okay so I installed the hdt.xml thing, and tried it out in game. Seems that worked, now collision is being detected, but now it added a whole new problem. Now my breasts are floating up in the air. It's like they are being lifted up now. They just sit there suspended.

So I deleted the skeleton_female.hkx, and that didn't really do anything. The breasts are still floating and now I don't have any bounce anymore. Or the bounce is extremely subtile to the point of not noticing it.

So now I got floating breasts and no more bounce. All this trouble just to enable collision. Think I was better off without it. At least before I had my TBBP bounce, regular UNPB breasts, and the HDT physics working. Now I have no bounce, floating breasts, and barely any HDT physics. But hey! Collision is working. :P

1. ah ok think i'll keep the .hkx active (.

2. shame thot there might be some collision like during boobjob anims  :D (tho the hdt may need attached to the penis and configured for it (if possible))

3. i don't mind if it affects all sex anims, but yea if i did modify it to have more movement then the other anims (run etc) will get affected too which i don't want (i wonder if i make a heavily weighted nudesuit would do the trick?)

Yeah, you can do that, I think.

That's the idea behind it. I don't know if it's SoS compatible but with other nude male body mods it should work. Doesn't work for me at least and I use SoS. I think the problem is that the SoS penis is not part of the male body nif? Dunno for sure.

I don't know how the weights modify the movement. But I think it's the .xml that tells the game how much the boobs should bounce. Not sure though, as always.

(not to sound rude or anything)

Glad you got your problems sorted out and question answered, but I still need assistance with the main topic and the new issue that arised. If you have any problems again, it would probably be best to make your own thread on it instead of hijacking mine. :P

Thanks.

You could try this. But honestly, there is so much than can go wrong with HDT it's hard to say where the problem exactly is. Which version of HDT do you use, which skeleton do you have installed, etc.

From my experience some versions of HDT simply didn't work with the collision settings, others did and some worked so-so. Also there is a dedicated subforum for everything HDT related, you should post your questions there, maybe.

Yeah I was hesitant to post a Tech Support thread there, since there was no tech support section and I figured I'd just post it here since it is still Skyrim troubleshooting.

But I currently use the latest release of HDT v12-29. Skeleton wise, I use XP32's Maximum Skeleton. The body I use is UNPB Redux with TBBP, and I use Dragonfly's TBBP Animations. I followed the tutorial above to assign collision to my body (0 and 1), but all that did was give me floating breasts.

I had everything working fine, Hair, HDT Breast bounce, and even skirts working fine. Once I did the tutorial though for collision, it messed everything up. I guess I can just go back to how I had it without collision, but I hate having things not at 100%. So was hoping to get collision working with everything else, but if I can't, I guess I can live without it.

You can try to use the mod I linked in my post above. It saves you the hassle of adding the collision to every mesh yourself and adds a HDT item to your game which you can equip. But if that doesn't work, I don't know anything else, sorry. The HDT Havok Extension is some kind of sorcery to me, albeit a sexy kind of sorcery (and sometimes frustrating).

You could also try to use the latest stable release since the newer versions are often a bit bugged.
