Personally, I don't see the need for the slight hostility, as no one said that hyper was bad, just a niche fetish.

And to throw my two cents in, it is a niche fetish. FFXIV has a good amount of it, but many other games lack it. Skyrim, Fallout, and the Sims come to mind when it comes to very popular games, and there's not much in the way of it in terms of mods. That Miku mod is hyper, as no one in the real world could ever look like that, as well as the fact that its WAY too thick for a lot of people, me included. But no one here is saying its bad, just that only a select few will make it. Take Stardew for example, it has a good few Bara mods, but its because only one person is making it, since its a niche thing that people are into.

 

No one is throwing shade at the mod or it in general. Just stating it as what it is. Being into feet is also considered a fetish, and even thighs and hands can be considered a fetish. Its a kink. And there's nothing wrong with something being a fetish/kink, nor does it make it bad.

That's actually not what they said at all. What they said is that they prefer the slim cartoony proportions, and recognize it as niche, and others prefer the hyper proportions, which is also niche.

 

They clarified pretty obviously that the majority prefer a middle ground between the two, which is not what Catnatic likes at all.

 

I am definitely in that middle ground, which I understand is very stereotypical and not niche whatsoever. Nothing hyper, nothing slim.

Nah, I do enjoy the middle ground if we're talking about other games that feature human characters. E.g. Resident Evil 4 Remake, Tomb Raider, Silent Hill f, etc.

Or even humanoid-looking characters as well including furry/anthro protagonists from games like Pseudoregalia. I actually enjoy the mod that makes Sybil nude.

(I wish there's a bottomless mod for her though, but I guess I could do that myself since I now know how to model import Unreal games.)

Heck, I even made a nude mod of Purse and Pochette for Backpack Hero who aren't particularly slim themselves. If they're considered thick, they're just about right for me.

 

For this game though, that non-thick Miku nude mod by Haise Sasaki is something I do like and have installed because it closely resembles her original proportions.

For the main Sonic cast however, I just simply prefer those cartoony characters to retain their cartoony proportions because them having accurate canonical bodies adds to the authenticity value of my mods that matches with the game's universe / visual style. Of course, I acknowledge that not everyone cares about that and they don't have to, it's just something that I value when enhancing this game with mods for my personal experience.

 

Just to make this incredibly clear:

I do like average or curvy bodies. Sometimes I like thick bodies, too. Just not too much.

However, I prefer it when mods or fan art of characters follow their original/canonical proportions (or match my preferences such as small breasts). That is all.

I still wanna see if its possible to make Rouge's chest plate transparent so you can see her boobs under it, maybe modeled to look like they're pressed up against it (or technically, the chest plate is pressed up against them?). Like if her bodysuit ended just under her boobs too. And then of course, versions of that for the other characters like Amy in Rouge's outfit, eventually Blaze and Wave, maybe Miku.

And speaking of Miku, I love some of the adult designs people have made for Cream, where she's taller than most of the characters (considering how tall Vanilla is), and I feel like that kind of design would work as a Miku remodel. In fact, even Miku's Crossworlds outfit feels like something like what an older Cream would wear for racing (albeit with different colors). Some of the artwork even includes like a cute little jacket for her too, like Miku's. Like either of these two designs, or anything else anyone would come up with, honestly

I agree there should be something, but maybe not a Discord. It's too exclusive, and then the mods of the non-18+ Crossworlds Discord could just do the same thing they already did and ban users who are in the 18+ Discord even if they keep that content completely separate from the Crossworlds Discord. It would be great if there could be an actual mod page here on Loverslab to have the mods more organized, like how Catnatic recently linked to all of them, but instead the mod authors can just have their entries that they get to update. But, I'm also new here and don't know how possible that is or if that's how it even works. It would just be nice to have the mods exclusively in a mass thread

It's incredibly annoying and inconvenient for people who's looking for them but can't access them because they're literally not available on the open public web as Discord servers are virtually deep web territory, being essentially walled gardens whose content can't be indexed by public search engines on the clear web. Not everyone has Discord nor even want to use it (for NSFW purposes), and some of us are now dealing with the hassle of that invasive age identification check because our governments are cracking down on "online safety." And don't even get me started on how a lot of people are using Discord to replace forums when they're functionally not the same.

Not to mention that the main modding server for this game, CrossWorlds Hub, is cracking down on banning anyone who happens to be on blacklisted servers.

It's better if we have a proper website that's willing to host perverted mods, while also not host bigoted mods as well like some "anti-censorship" modding sites.
