Switching body types?

Just a quick question for the community, planning on switching from the Manga body variant of ADEC to the SeveNBASE body, just seems like there are more armors available for it. There anything I should do to avoid issues when switching from one body type to the next? 

 

Just feel like avoiding any bugs or glitches if I can

Well, what comes with switching body types like always? A lot of mod replacing.

 

Going to need to replace your skin textures for one. ADEC skin textures don't work on SeveNBase. But you're in luck. Anything UNP based will work for SeveNBase. UNP, UNPB, UNPBO, UNPC, SeveNBase, Dream Girl, Khymera, UNPSlim, etc etc etc you get the picture. They are all compatible together.

 

Then after you do that, you need to replace all your armors and clothing stuff. Again, ADEC stuff is not compatible with SeveNBase. So if you have any favorites, check to see if they have SeveNBase equivlants. And like above, all those different body types are compatible with each other. So you can even wear armor for all those body types without texture glitches when using SeveNBase.

 

But after you have replaced your skin textures and all your armor and clothing and such, you should be pretty much set to go. Skin textures are easy, it's the armor and clothing stuff that is a pain. Having to find replacements and then searching through tons of pages to find SeveNBase armors in general on Nexus and here, that you might like.

Theres a couple of mods allowing you to have multiple body types on the same game, BodyChange (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37546/?) is one, thee is also a spell allowing you to switch between body types (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/30407/?) but not retaining BBP / TBBP, there is also a mod in developpement here on LL allowing you to equip any armor no matter what body type you are using (http://www.loverslab.com/topic/25417-wip-bodyoptions-wear-every-armor-no-matter-which-body-you-have/).

 

You can also use a custom race to have a specific body type not shared with everyone else, there is also a mod called everybody's different  allowing to distribute different skin textures and meshesto everyone through a SkyProc patcher (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/34637/?).

 

The last one should be used with quite a knowledge on modding tho.

Seem to be having a problem when installing armors... The body switch went over seamlessly but know when I switch over to a Sevenbase armor type it seems to switch the whole body type? The nipple location is distorted, the stomach shape changes, so on so forth. Not sure what to do here

If you use a texture for the wrong body it makes distorted nipples in the wrong position. I found that out the hard way. There was a pack of followers I added where two were UNP based and two were CBBE based. I was using a UNP body variant and appropriate skin textures. Well, the two CBBE based follower had distorted nipples in the wrong places once I put different armor/clothes on them.

Either you are using the wrong body type with the wrong armor type, or vice versa.

 

When you are naked, do you have the SeveNBase body with matching textures? If so, then your body is fine and the armor you are trying to wear is the problem.

 

With SeveNBase, you can only wear SeveNBase armors, or UNP body type armors. Only those type of armors will fit the SeveNBase body.

 

 

From what you are saying, it sounds like you are trying to wear armor that is meant for a different body type, that is not UNP based. For example, ADEC or CBBE armor being worn on a UNP type body. It seems to be consistent with any armor I switch too, I tried deleting all of the armor meshes and textures and reinstalling them so it must be a body type thing. 

 

So should I just delete my character data and just re-install all of it or what would you recommend?

Sounds like a texture issue then. From what you're saying, it seems you have the SeveNBase body with SeveNBase armors, but your body texture itself is for a different body type that doesn't work with SeveNBase.

Hmmm if SG Textures are showing up a different color, it sounds like maybe you have some left over files from your ADEC body still that are conflicting. Or another mod that is redirecting/overwriting your textures causing them to mess up.

 

If it was me in this situation, I would do a fresh reinstall of Skyrim. You're changing a lot of major things, including removing old armors and your old body and installing new stuff on top of it all. Something went wrong in the mess and now something is conflicting. And if you're trying to use an old save when you had ADEC and all those ADEC armors, but now loading it with SeveNBase and SeveNBase armors, it is going to get corrupted.

 

Switching bodies, which requires switching out a ton of other mods just to be compatible with your new body, is usually something to do a fresh install on. So much stuff gets left behind and can mess up your new stuff, that it is just not worth it.

 

It's hard to determine what is exactly causing your issues, as I've already covered the basics and they don't seem to be the cause. The only last thing I can think of is you have left over data from ADEC still in there that is causing the conflict. Making a big switch from one body to another can cause that though, so it's always safe to just start fresh.

 

But it's your choice. Maybe someone can find out exactly what is wrong, cause I've exhausted my knowledge, sorry lol. Hopefully you get it figured out though.

I've got like 45 mods installed so it'll probably take awhile to reinstall but I'll go ahead and go with that since I've tried a ton of other things on top of what advice you've already provided

I agree that a fresh install would probably be best. Be sure to use TES5Edit after installing all the main stuff, too, since this will help you get a smoother game with far fewer weird bugs.

 

I generally use SG Textures and I've never had the face/hands/feet be a different color. It's my favorite texture yet and that's part of the reason I like it so much.

I use since 29 11 2011 the CHSBHC (Cherry Hotalings Super Busty H Cup) and no power of this world will separate me from this body,

even if for other body a "plethora of armor" be modded. you could me 1000 dollars give, then I would show you a bird!

I hope I could you post again something to think about, there are also people who represent a fixed viewpoint and always remain true to their principles.

I think it ended up being the BBP mod, Cause after a fresh install that continued to cause issues but it's all sorted out now.

You could use that, but you'd have to manually edit them in Photoshop to make them fit to your body. They were made for CBBE, not UNP.

 

Otherwise, any UNP tattoo skin would work fine. Though remember that most are actual body skins, not just tattoos. So they will overwrite your body texture. There is some that have a PSD file so you can paste it over your own body texture in photoshop, but most are just body skin replacers. So make sure you find one that uses UNP type bodies.

I use UNPB BBP and UNPetite with no conflicts so far. (knock on wood ) You do need Race Menu for it to work... not sure if it works with ECE but it might.

Race Menu and ECE are the only two (that I know of) that allow you to move back or forth but as far as seeing the back, I know someone posted it some were ... walk forward, hit ~ and character turns ... don't quote me on that but its of that nature. I don't use CBBE... my Vamp is UNPB and set at 80 weight my other is UNPetite set at 25 weight... no problems at all with the weight difference or body mesh.. just saying, as large or small as you want to go.
