Preference / choice. A preference to what one is attracted to, rather than a hateful thing. I wouldn't look into it too deeply. Nice thing about modding is that it is all optional and up to each user whether or not to use them.

 

It's really a similar situation to any of the mods, whether they're to make a character naked or whatever. Download and use it if you like it, don't if you don't. 👍

sure thing! But I will only post schezerald and estelle nude mod by sonicman, so their outfit will be nude by default. If you want to further use more mods, you need to convert the dds to xtx, and make your own tables. I will upload it when I get on my laptop later

エステルの「紅騎士」を改変したものです。

ミニスカート化し、トップスのデザインを大幅に変更しました。このコスチュームのコンセプトは「横乳を楽しむです」笑

ヴァニラのデザインはあまり私の好みではありませんでしたが、帽子とストレートロングの髪が凄く可愛いので何とかしたかったコスチュームです。

シェーディングの調整で少し最近迷走していたので、原点に戻ってみました。若干胸の表現がぼやけているかもしれません。😅

(彼女はツインテよりストレートロングの方が絶対可愛いと思います。(異論は認めるw))

I’ve been practicing modding using eArmada8 / kuro_mdl_tool and the tutorials available on GitHub.

Today, I discovered an issue where glasses do not apply correctly on Lakovic’s Estelle nude mod.
In contrast, Lakovic’s Schera nude mod works fine — glasses are applied normally.

After some experimentation, I found that even if I simply convert an .mdl file to .glb using kuro_mdl_tool, then immediately convert it back to .mdl (using the original material_info.json and image_list.json from the source .mdl), the ability to wear glasses breaks in-game.

Has anyone else encountered this issue?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

update to the newest version of the tools and start with an original MDL.

Can you explain how to fix this?

Even when I start working from the original game files, the glasses function breaks after my processing.
So I really want to know which specific part I should pay attention to in order to avoid breaking it.

I’m already using version 1.6.2.
Just now, I downloaded it again and tested by converting Estelle’s original model from .mdl to .glb, then back from .glb to .mdl, but the glasses function is still broken.

 

By the way, thank you for providing such an excellent modding tool and tutorial.

I’m not sure if anyone would be interested, but I’d like to share this.
 

I tried applying Lakovic’s Estelle body to Joshua.
I wish I had the same excellent modeling skills as Lakovic, but unfortunately, I don’t — so using the existing model is the best I can do.

I haven’t found a solution yet, so I can’t make Joshua wear glasses.
However, he can wear other costumes just fine!

Did you delete all files and start in an empty directory?  It sounds like incorrect metadata is being copied.  The required metadata for the locator nodes including glasses is in the chr5000.metadata file, which is generated by kuro_mdl_to_basic_gltf.py and read by kuro_gltf_to_meshes.py.  For the original chr5000.mdl, it should be 33 KB.  The other possibility is that you are removing the .metadata file, or renaming files, or there is some other reason that kuro_gltf_to_meshes.py is not incorporating the data from the .metadata file when reconstructing the skeleton.

 

I just tested an unmodified chr5000.mdl, and it works fine.  I ran kuro_mdl_to_basic_gltf.py, then kuro_gltf_to_meshes.py, then kuro_mdl_import_meshes.py, and Estelle could wear glasses.

PAC Browser/Editor

 

This tool allows you to read and modify the PAC archive files from The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky the 1st.

Instructions for Use:

1. Change the language to English (as shown in the image below).

2. Open a .pac file, such as asset_common_model.pac, and expand the directory of files to be replaced.

 

3. Drag the file or folder you want to replace into the right-hand panel.

 

4. Click Save. Once completed, a message will appear at the bottom of the program. Each time you import, the original .pac file will be backed up in the same directory and renamed with a .bak extension.

The .metadata file you mentioned was the key!
The problem occurred because I had moved only the .mdl files to a separate directory to avoid accidentally losing the original files.
Thank you for kindly pointing that out — I’ve completely fixed the glasses issue now!

There's some clipping on her shirt when she moves, which I'm trying to fix.

 

 It's intended to be a "semi-nude" version of Estelle similar to what you see in the menu portrait mods by @utamaruunk.

I tried converting the DDS file into an XTX file but it didn’t work, so I read a post that said you have to redo the DDS file — could you tell me how to do that?

The general process is as follows:

  1. Open the DDS file from the PC mod with NVIDIA Texture Tools, set the format to BC3, and save to generate a new DDS file.

  2. Use XTX-Extractor (https://github.com/aboood40091/XTX-Extractor) to convert the DDS file into an XTX file.

  3. Put the XTX file into the same folder as the original DDS file, but rename the folder from dx11 to nx.

I’m usually busy on weekdays, so I’ll send the detailed steps over the weekend.

 

If you’d like, I can just share the converted files if the author allow.

If you can, you should make a version with just gloves and shoes. I was going to make versions for casual/apron since those seem to pop up during gameplay the most (I assume), but if somebody else is working on it I'd rather not.
