New Account Image Upload Requirements

What are the requirements for new accounts to upload images?

 

When I try, I get this message:

You cannot paste images directly. Upload or insert images from URL.

 

I assume I cannot because I'm a new account, but the UI does not state it as such, it just tells me that I'm only allowed to post URLs to accounts. I also cannot find the requirement in the forum rules.

Updating the UI to say something like "You must make 5 posts" or "You must wait 24 hours after account" creation would be helpful. Please consider such a change, thanks!

When you find an image, you need to copy the image address and paste it.

I think you are mistaken, if you are suggesting that no one is allowed to post images directly. Others do it. Perhaps you've been a member so long you aren't aware of the restrictions on new accounts. To elaborate, I cannot even edit my posts at this time. It would be nice to know if the probation period is duration-based or post-based. If it's post-based, I'd like to act accordingly.

I'd like to personally 'thank' every new user whom discovered this and then just started posting crap with no value in places they 'thought' no one would see. I'd say just create a 'throw-away' section but that doesn't promote actual communication between users/members/etc. The idea is once you made 'enough' effort to be part of the community, you are granted more privileges.
