Could there be a setting for increasing the odds of getting punished with being made a court whore? I keep trying to bait my liege into doing it and keep getting my head chopped off.

 

Maybe when you try and offer a ransom for yourself you get 'endure being turned into court whore' as an option or something?

Hey lads, what did I mess up to cause CW to stop hooking its animation events into Carnal Court through CBO? It was working for a while, but now it has gone back to the other setup of displaying in a smaller window a la the default Carnalitas Make Love interaction, and the animations themselves are hellaciously laggy. Has anyone ran into this same dilemma before? I assume it is load-order related, but so far I have been unable to fix it by swapping CW's position around.

Same thing happens to me. This is also true for all other court whores, not just the prison-recruited ones, and it happens even if they are also fulfilling other court roles. Losing your Excellent Caravan Master to some random nobody count in the middle of tribal proto-Russia definitely makes a man want to start a blood feud.

And the same for me. My "Famous Court Whore" Vaella, which had very good relations with me (+95), and was merried to my nephew and master of arms, just left to become a courtier at the court of one of my vassals.

 

Ah, now I understand, she has a child with this vassal, that's why she left. And it's impossible to invite her back to my court, because of her son Malion. I think I will castrate Lord Merrel, he's doing the same to my whore Shana. How does this "birth control" thing work ? (ah, found it, "prevent pregnancies" task in the job portrait)

Seems like breeders still work if you use the breeders mod.

although I am not the original creator of this mod. but I hope to be able to post a working version of it soon. due to the fact that I added a new level for the court whore, there are now small errors in error.log.

@DarktodThank you for reviving this mod. 

 

Just getting it updated will be a lot of work but if you decide to go further down the line, here is an idea that might be possible to implement:

 

The current CW mod makes it hard to get a prison recruited CW but it seems logical that cruel treatment could would soften up resistance that a character would have against disgracing themselves and their family.

 

Torture is an obvious one since becoming a CW would release the character from  the danger of more of the same.

 

Being moved to the dungeon might do it since there is otherwise no guarantee of release.

 

Not every character would necessarily break and for example a brave and chaste character who has taken religious vows would be nigh impossible to force to become a prison-recruited PW.

 

Possible Implementation:

 

It might be possible to have the CW mod detect if a character has the 'recently tortured' debuff or the 'in dungeon' debuff and add a bonus to their chances of accepting to become a prison recruited CW. 

 

Probably the in dungeon should be less of a bonus to recruitment chance than the 'recently tortured' and both bonuses should probably stack.

 

Obviously a character would have to be really evil or really dislike the prospective CW or their family to use these techniques especially since they are not consequence-free to the captor.

I think I did it exactly as you described. Perhaps I misunderstood...

Hello, this mod is exactly what I was looking for and I want to use only court position and prison feature. I know I can turn off the rest in game rule, but where should I add the condition "is_ai = no" if I want to make it as player only?

there was an edit here so that the AI definitely couldn't appoint you to the cw position. but I understand that I did not understand it correctly. Later, I'll make sure that the AI can't assign anyone at all.

If the Breeder task is not selected, this system will not trigger a pregnancy. The AI also cannot appoint anyone to the Stud position, so AI rulers cannot use this breeding system. Only the player can appoint a character to that position, as defined in the file I attached earlier. Therefore, it should not cause uncontrolled population growth.

That's cool; I messed around with switching characters mid-save and got my guy to be a stud with my liege's court whores set to breed. It worked, but there were no carnal court sex events firing, they just got pregnant routinely and it was always me even though we weren't lovers or otherwise affiliated. I also got in trouble for fornication each and every time, but I thought I saw in the code of "court_whore_court_positions_tasks"  the stud is supposed to become immune to the negative social effects of extramarital sex.

 

Definitely great potential for we few, proud Himbo-archetype players trying to go full Johnny Bravo in the Dark Ages. I just don't have the acumen to realize it to its full potential.
