@lazycai Thank you!

No combination of settings will cause ASF to require beds. You might test more to confirm that is what is happening. If it is that is a bug.

SexLab can require beds. You might check your SexLab settings.

@layzpeon I think I found one more thing I can do for Vanilla SexLab to help it choose the correct animation set more frequently. It will be in the next release.

Thank you!

I tried in several other places. In Whiterun city open space, the scripts does find spots like the corner of the Alchemy shop, which is not a bed. In Solitude city open space, the scripts find a pillar of Radient Raments house, which is not a bed, too. (But the actors will do their animations INSIDE the pillar, though.)

Inside Cidhna Mine it doesn't seem to find any spot availabe. I have tried toggling all settings in Sexlab related to beds, none of them works.

Just tried another attempt in Skyrim big map, and the two actors ended up flying to the sky...(a shame that the animations fail to play, though. would be fun if the animations play:)

@lazycai Appreciate the details. Please share your logs. Also be sure you installed the ASF_Test file built for that issue and mentioned up thread. What are you settings inside that file?

I don't really get how to fully implement what you said, but I'll try to follow.

1. Pyparus Logs when I try to initiate scene in Cidhna Mine, attached.

It seems that the script "Could not find a valid Initiator".

2. Where do I download the AST_Test file you mentioned?

3. My ASF settings screenshots attached.

I have attached another log file, in this one the player is in Whiterun. There are many failed attempts in this log, but 2 out of them succeeded.

In the 1st scene with Sigurd, the chosen location is behind the Inn.

In the 2nd scene with Belethor, the chosen location is above the sky, similar to the screenshot I attached in my previous post. This time the animations played correctly, though.

@lazycai Thank you for logs. Especially helpful that they included a working scene and a non working one. We are closer to solving this puzzle. This puzzle has annoyed me for weeks now.

The ASF_Test file I mentioned is a download from the previous page of this thread. It hides this issue by disabling features. But does not help me understand it so I can create a proper fix. Thanks to you I may be able to fix. It appears to be the result of a mod conflict but I have no clue which mod.

Could you tell me one more thing? If you know how to use xEdit can you open it up? Find SexLab.esm. Open it then open Furniture. Click on SexLabBaseMarker. In the bottom Right do you see "Referenced By (#)"? Can you click on that share a screenshot of the Referenced By list? Example:

image.png

Also, would you mind sharing a recent crash log? If you have one. Crash logs contain load orders. I would like to see what Plugins and DLLs you have installed.

Hopefully with the information you provide we will be able to find the conflict. At the very least we will be closer.

I posted a new version to the main page. Hopefully it is the last of Release Candidates and we can move this into the stable release column.

There is a chance that it patches the issue you have faced @skybird @zztai @rjn @nunyabidnez @lazycai @layzpeon with animations happening in the air. Please test and report back. If possible share an ASF.0.log alongside your test results. If the issue persists I would love to get your latest crash log as well. Those contain load orders. I will use the load orders to find what mods you have in common. Perhaps one of them is conflicting.

Be sure to install both new files that were posted today. There is a chance the ScenePositions update is what patches this.

Also @layzpeon and @leighn let me know if this release causes SexLab to uses gender appropriate animations more often. It still will not be 100%. For that SexLab itself needs to be patched, and patches exist for that. But hopefully this release makes them less useful.

Good to hear!

I checked SSEEdit and screenshot attached.

Recent crash log attached, too. However I have been changing my mods since last crash so the mod list isn't entirely identical to when I did the last report.

I'm eagar to try out the latest release now!

The inappropriate gender issue still persists  at each attempts unfortunately and the furnitures addon are no more detected compared to the 2.0.3 version, I registered Animations and Reapply slate changelog

The good news: The out of bound animation is now fixed.

The teleporting issue does seem to be resolved. I haven't had any issues with gender in the animations so far, I'll keep an eye on it as I play. I've attached a log in case it's useful.

@layzpeon Doh. Thank you for testing and sharing logs.

Can you tell me what happened? Based on your logs only one scene started. It was between a Legate and the Player. It attempted to center on the Player because no other scene locations were available.

The logs reveal a different pattern than what I have seen previously. I am curious if more playtime will keep yielding the same pattern.

To the folks who are sharing logs thank you very much. I likely will not be able to solve issues without them. In particular if you tell me what happened during the logs it is a huge help. LazyCai told me who was in what scene and whether or not that scene worked. He is going down as one of the greats in my book. That is exactly the sort of help I need. You are my eyeballs on this problem. The more info I have the more likely I can fix.

If you do not mind Layzpeon can you test more? Upload a log where multiple scenes attempted to start. After doing that can you test again with the attached file? And upload a log with it installed too? There is one setting in this file you can change. You can change UseActorCoords to 0, 1, or 2. 2 will likely fix the issue but hide it. It prevents centering on actors. Not a good solution. 1 is testing a longterm solution I have devised. Centering on the actor coordinates instead of the actor ref. If it works it may be the default behavior in future version. But it is still a hacky solution and I would love to know what mod is conflicting here. I would switch to the hacky solution only when the conflicting mod is present. For that I need crashlogs.

@leighn Did you have the "out of bound" issue previously?

Unfortunately I do not understand what this means "the furnitures addon are no more detected compared to the 2.0.3 version". Please elaborate.

Could you also tell me in your own words what the "inappropriate gender issue" is? I suspect that it is different from Layzpeons issue. In multiple scenarios you have described slightly different symptoms than him. Again verbose description and lengthy logs might help me help you. Without it I probably can not help. Unfortunately.

That was smart to try things like reregistering animations. I appreciate your work to try and solve this.

Removed test file as it was not needed for a fix. Do not want users installing it since it creates a fork in behavior.

Sorry, I think you misread my post, I said it is resolved. I may have phrased it awkwardly. Haven't had any problems with teleporting since installing the new version. (Also I made sure to uninstall the old _test json first). I just uploaded the log in case there was any additional useful info from it. I'd be happy to test more if you'd like, but everything seems good on my end so I'm not sure how much you'd get out of it.

Also as you predicted the M/F spots do still end up switched, but I've only noticed it once so far this morning, so it seems to be reduced somewhat.

@layzpeon Oh happy day! What news. Glad the animations in air issue has been fixed. It was the one thing stopping me from calling this stable.

Your log was helpful. Any logs are. The more I collect the more I find myself referring back to them to see if users are encountering any esoteric errors.

Regarding actor sorting you should try enabling SexLab logging in its MCM. Then keep an eye out in SexLab's Papyrus logs. In the AE version of SexLab it will create log entries that start with "SortActorsByAnimation" or "SortCreatures". Examine those. They might help you understand why SexLab is not sorting correctly. And point you towards a solution. I am available to help if you have questions.

Indeed, My female character is everytime assigned to the male role, paired or Group animation . Each position i use, furniture or not leads to the wrong roles. It's an error specific to ASF.

SLEN, Random Sex, Sexy Adventures... Works greatly

Filter Gender Tags Animation ( from sexlab utility plus)Fixed that issues but new problems appeared (Facial animation broken and vanishing furnitures during sexlab animation)

The furnitures  ASF Lite was detected in the 2.0.3, my character is a locked up in a tilted wheel, Npc around will activate a sexlab animation related to this furniture but the last version apparently broke this features and instead playing a random animation

The out of bound was a problem with the 2.0.3 version , but the ASF_Test json you made and now the 2.0.4 fixed this issue

The ASF.log doesn't work and i don't know why... Papyrus is enabled in skyrim.ini and tried to restart the game after enable asf.log in mcm

This is the most suspicious message concerning my problem

"Error: Method GetAnimationsByDefaultTags not found on sexlabframework. Aborting call and returning None
stack:"

@leighn Thank you for elaborating.

You appear to be running SexLab 1.62. There is a newer version of SexLab available that fixes issues with sorting. It also adds the function you are missing. If you are on SE then use 1.63. If you are AE then use 1.66b. SexLab patches a lot of issues with each update. Tends to get speed improvements and new hidden features. IMO it is good mod to keep up to date.

I forget that people might be on older versions of SexLab. I should add a minimum version check. I purposefully always support 1.63.

Are you able to update? I forget what version VR is stuck on. You are not on VR are you?

Posted (edited)

Thanks ! My version of Sexlab was outdated because i downloaded a 1.63 BETA version apparently considered as 1.62... I just check with the last official 1.63 version and now the gender issue seems to works properly ! I have to tweak the open mouth , but it works now (i have to remove ahegao scripts linked to sexlab)

Now i try to find a way to resolve the ASF Furniture lite  who is no more detected

Edit: Downgrade to ASF 2.0.3 resolved Furniture Lite issue

Thanks again for your help !

I tried starting scenes in the Cidhna Mine again with mods installed and uninstalled. This is what I found:

After uninstalling USSEP I successfully initiated a scene.

But my file logging doesn't seem to work any more after the update? I don't see any more ASF log files in my log folder today.

I can see some logs in the console.

Logs can be written into Papyrus log file.

What I did yesterday related to log files was that I manually changed one file name in the folder. I doult that has anything to do with this problem, though.

@lazycai That might be my mistake. Try downloading the attached file and putting inside of the mod\Scripts folder. It will ask if you want to replace the existing file. Say yes. Do you get log files now?

I'm not sure what is wrong but I could never get ASF to work since its initial release. Right now all I get is the message that no potential recipients are found when I try using the random allure. I know the outfits are being applied. But I have no idea why nothing else is working. IDK if this would be related but ASF can never find IER even though Item Equip Restrictor is installed.

EDIT: After further testing I've discovered i can get it to work if I manually use the AddSpell ASF_Ability_Include_Initiator or AddSpell ASF_Ability_Include_Recipient on npcs and then try the allure spell or have random sex enabled. Still unsure as to why my SPID or KID files for the armor don't seem to work.

New EDIT: After even more testing it seems like the issue is the outfits. First off my custom SPID files for outfits aren't being distributed for some reason, even though it was working earlier. Secondly even when I use the premade outfit files like the ones for ZAP, nothing seems to be happening.

What animation packs add furniture (Xcross etc) animations? I thought they were part of ZAZ, but I never get the furniture feature to work. The other places work fine.

Same here. This mod is just too complicated for us simpletons. Feels like it is meant to be used by mod authors, people that know how this stuff works, not random mod users like us.

I was finally able to get it work after numerous trials and errors. not sure what the issue was but I had to download some specific mod whose version was off or something. Honestly I kind of like the enforcer standalone version because it feels a little bit more immersive. I'm thinking using that mod and the outfit composer may be a good combination.

That is accurate. This mod is intended for mod authors. It is like script extenders or SPID. A regular joe installs those mods simply because they were listed as a requirement by some other mod. You install and forget about it. It does its job silently in the background. While mod authors install the same mods to see what cool things they can build with it.

If you installed this mod because it is listed as a requirement by LMAO then you had the above experience. You did not need to understand what this mod does. Just install and LMAO gains new capabilities.

If you installed this mod because of SES2 then you may have a different experience. My fault. I have done a poor job of communicating how early in development SES2 is. I finished this mod and SOC. But I have barely started building SES2. In terms of content and ease of setup SES2 is a prerelease alpha. But in terms of stability it is great. Which is why I chose to release it. Maybe one day I will finish that mod and make installing it as easy as LMAO. Not to mention finally add dialogue to scenes.
