Saucy Overhaul


This mod started as a set of sprite replacements for the game, making them slightly more naughty but still realistic, using elements from various other nudity mods, like GROTU, Saucy Techs, and several others whose sprites I can't even remember where I got them from.

 

But after also adding several sprite-fixing minimods for small things in the base game, I think it's become more than that.

 

I'd say this mod is a collection of a lot of what I use when playing Starbound, so if you use this mod, you already know me pretty well.

 

The mod's focus would be primarily on the bodies of the species available for SexBound.

 

I tried to use only replacements that didn't directly contradict the game's story and that could at least be believable. So I removed many of the nudity sprites from the outpost, as it wouldn't make much sense to have naked merchants in what would likely be the last remnant of a unified civilization in the galaxy.

 

I also edited some of the object sprites to make them more aesthetically pleasing.

 

This mod is still in development, and I'll obviously add bodies as we release new SxB supports.



The mod is also compatible with Futara's Dragon Pixel Full Bright Shader.
If you have it installed, you'll notice that some items and species glow in the dark.
If you don't have it installed, it won't matter, and the mod will work normally.

 

If you don't have Futara's Dragon Pixel Full Bright Shader installed directly in your mods folder, it won't work.
Download it directly from the Futara page and paste it into your folder.

Warning: Saucy Overhaul is incompatible with the Get Rid of That Underwear mod!
While it doesn't (as far as I know) cause any fatal errors, since they alter some of the same sprites, it can cause some interference.
Saucy Overhaul already alters practically everything GROTU alters, and much more.

Sorry for the delay in responding.
The mod was probably crashing because I made a mistake while editing the codex.
I believe the latest version fixes this.

Having a similar issue with the game crashing on launch with this mod, and running fine if I remove it. 

Weirdly the error pop up doesn't seem to mention the mod directly. 

Edit: I had just downloaded it, tried it and removed it within the last 15 minutes, so it is for sure the newest update uploaded.

starbound.logGame crashes on attempting to load with this mod installed. Additionally, using starbound's asset unpacking tools produces an identical 'No index header found' error, so I cannot even unpack it to attempt to figure out what's causing it.

Running OSB 0.1.14.1, confirmed that the crash occurs due to this mod. Appears to have no relation to other sprite-swapping mods, as I've attempted with all such mods uninstalled.

It looks like the version 1.1.3 file was corrupted.
My connection probably fluctuated while I was uploading.
Everything should be fine now.

I think I can do that.
I was already thinking about separating some of the changes and putting them as separate Addons.

Probably because both mods affect body appearance.
Plus, some of the species in the mod are ALREADY cute.

It probably won't work with cutebound, because my mod's priority

Pretty much everything Cutebound changes, my mod changes too, but in a different way.

So yeah, I don't think it's compatible with cutebound.

That's their default appearance that you use yourself.

On second thought,

I think I'll add back the kitsune bodies, since the body itself is already finished.

I can add the recolored hair later.
