I have a sims 3 and all its dlc installation files on dropbox of the Origin version from games4theworkd. If I download those onto the steam deck will launching the TS3 application automatically make the game work or do I have to do any tinkering? Also do I even have to install the game and all the packs or can I just put the installed files from the pc I installed them on and use that. Thanks for any help cause this game would be sweet to play handheld.

Should be fine if after installing, you run as a non-Steam game and use Proton. (cause Steam Deck is Linux.)

The Origin version probably wants Origin installed.

 

Just get the disk versions from the internet Archives.

But then I don't have a Steam Deck so have no clue how games must be installed.
