BG3 Hairs II

Continuation of my mod BG3 Hairs.Ā Due to the loss of the previous account, all my mods will be published on this one. Any questions or bugs related to the first mod also report here. The first mod will remain where it is now.

Ā

Compatible with High-Poly Head and Vanilla-based custom races (includint COTR), fully incompatible with UBE (need a patch). Partially incompatible with low poly head (clippings in some areas).

Ā

Also I don't see the point in making unisex hairstyles, because it's very time-consuming, and I haven't noticed a wide use of women's hairstyles on male characters or vice versa. If there is a big demand for the specific hairstyles, then only in this case I will do them.

Ā

Ā

For females:

Ā

Laezel's hair

Minthara's hair

Ā

Ā

For males:

Ā

Halsin's hair

Gale's hair

Ā

Ā

IĀ  WILLĀ  NEVER:

- Create hairs (or any other content) on the request.

- Add physics to any meshes on the request.

- Ask for money for creating mods or paywalled them on platforms like Patreon.Ā

- Rip models from any games on the request.

- Convert my mods to LE.

- Convert anything to Fallout 3/4/NV games on the request.

- Answer questions about how to port models/create HDT (there are a couple of tutorials on the YouTube and on the Nexusmods, try to use Search bar)

Ā

Ā

YOU CAN:

Use this file as you want, I can not stop you from re-uploading it or anything like that. And honestly, I do not care much, but I would appreciate it if you credit me in your mods as the original author.Ā

None of the hairs seem to be appearing in the racemenu for either BG3 hairs 1 or 2. I do have other hair mods installed (KS, Dint, and HS hair packs) is it compatible with other hair mods?Ā

There shouldn't be any conflicts, but try placing my mods' esp at the very bottom of the load order.Ā

okay I tried with the two mods at the bottom of the load order and they still didn't show up. I even tried starting a new save and they didn't show up. I also tried removing another sizable hair mod to see if there was some kind of limit to the number of hair's available and still no dice. not really sure what the issue could be at this point. I did just read on the other mod page for BG3 hairs to not install via Mod manager which I did, so now I'm off to try uninstalling and installing manually. oops

I have no idea what the reason could be, everything works in my game just fine - I have KS, HG, Vanilla remake and other hair mods installed and there is no conflict.Ā I have seen others using my mods quite successfully. So, unfortunately, I can't help much.Ā If you installed it using a mod manager, check if there is "BG3 Some Hairs" folder in "Data\meshes\actors\character" andĀ if there are nif files in subfolders with character names.Ā

Ā

Also if you use Vortex. check if the esp file is activated, it does not always activate it automatically.

I'm using MO2 and there are Bethesda art files in the subfolders with character names but no nif files.Ā  all the other hair mods also have Bethesda Art Files inside and no nif files. So I'm not quite sure what to make from that

yes

I don't know what's wrong with MO2, I often get messages from other users that my mods don't work through it. Personally I use Vortex and everything works fine.

Try to install my mods manually, unfortunately, this is the only thing I can advise.

Thank you, these are very pretty.

Would love to see unisex variants though. I mainly play as fem characters but I find these female hairstyles too girly and poshĀ  theĀ  male ones are my kind of thing. But I understand if you wouldn't want to bother with it unless there's high demand. If that's the case can you explain how one would make it? I'm not a complete noob in modding, but never touched hair modsĀ  before.

If you want to convert my hairstyles for opposite gender, you simply need to import the desired hairstyle into Outfit Studio along with the head nif, edit clippings on the hairstyle, delete the head and export the hairstyle as a new file. You will need to create 2 files - hair and hairline, they differ slightly in alpha settings.Ā You will also need tri files if you are going to edit the hairstyle in Race Menu in the Sculpt.Ā They can also be exported from Outfit Studio using the new NIF. Simply import the NIF into the program and select tri in the export menu. Then add it through the Creation Kit to the game.Ā

Also if you want to extract hairstyles yourself, you will have to use third-party software - a program for extracting meshes and textures from the desired game like BG3 Multitool, as well as 3D software like Blender or 3D Max.Ā

Thanks a lot for the detailed reply šŸ’œ Ā Sounds pretty simple and straightforward, will be trying to make it work
