looking for a good lydia replacer.

title says it all. I  would like to replace her looks for sure.  Don't really care about her skillset getting replaced tbh but its fine it it does.  Would also have to be able to replace the body as I use sevenbase.  Any suggestions?  Any good ones that aren't on the nexus?  I used the the search function but I get so many hits with lydia as a search term.

You should get a full lydia replacer (like i.e. AngeLydia -Lydia is reborn or Lydia Sylvan Makeover Standalone) then change meshes (body and face) and textures as you prefer, it's easy, just open the archive and look to the paths. But yep they are on nexus.

I use Bijin Warmaidens. Generally, I don't think it's a good idea to change the textures that are already included, but maybe I'm wrong. However, you can probably change out the body mesh without any issues. In fact, I swapped out the one's included with Bijin Warmaindens with my customized CBBE-based body. Of course, you're probably not going to want to swap out a custom NPC's UNP body and replace it with a CBBE body, for example; I'm pretty sure you'd some gaps and texture issues.

Most standalone replacers for Lydia (and any Vanilla follower for that matter) will likely be CBBE-based. The greatest concern would be whether or not replacing the body mesh would result in gaps. I don't use SevenBase, so I don't know. But, if there are no gaps, consider yourself lucky. The secondary issue would then be the texture, because I doubt the textures made for CBBE will work properly for SevenBase and vice versa, as you mentioned. Of course, you could try blending the body texture with the face texture, and then you wouldn't get a noticeable seam; I've never done it personally, but I hear wonderful things. If you are really lucky, perhaps the skin texture used by the mod author is also available for SevenBase.

there is a long haired 7based Lydia on the nexus... its UNP (all forms) compatible and its a lovely makeover, she has the female walk but her tits are fn huge!!! but she looks sexy as heck with a UNPetite outfit!

the UNP textures are more compatible with 7B than CBBE. I personally changed out the skin textures included for HoneyVanity's Barbarian skin so there can be more consistency in my game. I have had no problem whatsoever. Replace the UNP files with the 7B body files (hands, feet, body) and replace the textures with a 7B compatible texture. If you want to keep the current skin textures, UNP skins are compatible with 7B but just replace the normal map with a 7B one.
