UnendingAnguish Posted April 30, 2025 Posted April 30, 2025 [This is a repost from the LE Skyrim board where this was originally posted in error]  Hello all!  I have recently been attempting to create fluffy versions of the Khajiit sheath from BadDog's hoodies with a limited degree of success.  The meshes and textures appear to work when viewed through OutfitStudio and NifSkope with the notable exception of the fully erect version which I intend to fix once I troubleshoot this issue.  This is what the mesh looks like outside of the game: Spoiler If anybody here has more experience with meshes, I've been attempting to find a solution for some time now and am thoroughly stumped.  For reference, I used this guide (How to make a FluffWorks patch from scratch - no Creation Kit or dependencies). The models override the originals, but the "fluff" does not appear as fluff, and rather a larger version of the same model, as seen in this image: Spoiler  Another good mod to reference would be Fluffy Khajiit 2 Himbo 3BA as it successfully applies a fluffworks-like fur shell to SoS genitals.  Thank you in advance for any help you may be able to provide! If and when this is resolved I'll release my patch here for all to enjoy.  Attached is the current .zip file containing all of the edited meshes and textures for the project, following the file structure of the original BadDog Hoodies mod. Bad Dog Posted May 27, 2025 Posted May 27, 2025 Looks like you don't have transparency set right on the outer shells.Â
Bad Dog Posted May 27, 2025 Posted May 27, 2025 When people do this kind of thing, the alpha channel generally has shades of gray, so the successively outer shells show successively less of the texture. Your alpha is black or white, so you're not getting the full value of the shells.
Bad Dog Posted May 27, 2025 Posted May 27, 2025 So you'll have to be really careful with your alpha threshold values. Innermost shell should be almost opaque, outermost almost entirely transparent. Then set the values of the in-between shells to step from lowest to highest. Your shells aren't consistently numbered so 001 is the innermost and 016 is the outermost, which is going to make things harder to deal with.
