xnajoe Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 Excited! really hope we get a version of Skyrim's Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer (CBBE) mod. That was one of my favourite nude mods of all time. It was really good quality. 13
asdf732 Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 they should probably make a whole section for this one lol 8
Lordchaosc Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 Really hoping it'd be easy but I think they changed engines. What I heard the remaster uses Unreal engine or something. What I also heard is that the team behind the remaster only used unreal for the trailers
roxx13221 Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 (edited) First nexus mod dropped folks! texture replacer, but still proof of life . It seems file structure is exactly the same as it was with original game, Tes4Edit works, esp and bsa's are in old format. I can't confirm atm, but if textures are of old format of nifs and dds, i think we're golden. Game mechanics still use the old gamebryo engine, exactly as it was with original Oblivion it seems. Unreal is only responsible for graphics and rendering. Data folder structure is diffrent though. Edited April 22, 2025 by roxx13221 4

The original creation engine is still running under the hood. Apparently, some people have even got it to load original non-OBSE mods (although it crashed immediately). 5

Thats good, that should mean it should be relatively easy to add mods once everyone figures it out. That includes porn mods 3

And then how to get the game to load the mod files properly. 1
thatonedado Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 Right when I finally got my skyrim to work after like 10 hours of mod managing this is bad news for me lol 3
AlexWolf2024 Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 TES IV Mods: Oblivion Remastered to be! No sooner had Bethesda's official statement about the lack of support for mods for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered caused a huge wave of negativity from fans, than the most inquisitive of them received the good news - the mods will be remastered! The developers did not bother with the official release of modding tools for the resulting symbiosis of two engines (Creation Engine for game logic, Unreal Engine for rendering), but they did not intentionally deprive modders of access to data files and tools for changing them. As a result, fans found that the old scheme with esm/esp files was saved down to a byte-by-byte matching size. To demonstrate this, a test mod has already been created that raises the damage of a long sword made of iron to the sky, as anyone can see. The information is also confirmed in Boosty, which has taken up the localization of the remaster by Anna Signet, known in the RU community for her Russification of Starfield. In general, hooray, comrades! :) 1
MothGyaru Posted April 22, 2025 Posted April 22, 2025 They need to add a on the website for oblivion remastered and let us really start getting to work alittle more smoothly
movuzzo Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 I believe there would be some 3D models or textures mod but won't be as complex as changing menu, quest, animation, etc
candylover Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 why does it say sexual themes in the game description? they had that with the old one? and what's new with this remastered besides graphics? 1

OmegaBlaster Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 We don't know how much UE is in the remaster yet. At the very least, it seems like the landscape/world space is baked into UE assets. On the other hand, modders might be able to add UE assets like new animations to newblivion without too much issue.

pastreloks Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 Bethesda knows what their games have ultimate replayability thank to mods. It would be a super stupid decision to this off.

Kathylady Posted April 23, 2025 Posted April 23, 2025 (edited) Oblivion Remastered uses the old engine for the game systems, UE5 for the graphics. I guess the old mods could be ported to OR. Edited April 23, 2025 by Kathylady
