playing through with nude or skimpy mods woulda robbed the story of its weight, anyway. Those can wait for replays, if I use them. That's just me though. Woulda cheapened the experience the first time through, and the game's good enough for that to be a consideration.

Maelle. People on here continue posting like every fourth post about her. To my knowledge you will not find anything having to do with nude mods, photos, links, or videos of the sort and her on this site/forum. I know people jump all over anyone who tries to say this, including on our usual friend and the moderators (and with other threads and the same sort of thing). But it's right below as far as what the people who run this website state. 

 

And you can google, "clair obscur maelle age" and this comes up *(below) so you are for better or worse depending on your liking probably not going to see nudes of Maelle here:

This isn't new, What "normally" will happen is the mod will get made, and people will flock to either a discord or it will be passed around through DM. However, the requests for it to be made can/will/are mentioned here on LL and nexus. In all likelihood is she WILL pop up. Just not on here, Same with Yuffie in FF, Same with Abigail in DD, same with Hogwarts, The rule on LL is simple. Make it if you want but do NOT post it here.

Definitely know the mods will/already have gotten made, and I hear you. Still regardless just more trying to get the number of posts asking for it on here down, particularly after the number of posts previously on here (since removed) asking for PMs on either it or other Mods. I gave up on the FF thread here.

Just sharing my thoughts even though it will change nothing and we'll see a Maelle mod eventually. My thoughts though;

 

While I was just starting the game, I didn't follow the story I guess. I thought everyone went off to fight at 30, so when Gustav says "you have 9 more years", that made her 21. Totally believable that she's 21. She doesn't act like a child, or even a teenager. Someone on nexus pointed out that she comments "you beat a teenager", which I missed. Okay, 18 and 19 are also teenagers, nothing is ever stated about being 16 (which is legal in nearly half of the US, btw, and in many countries, including France where it is 15). In game, it is completely up to the player to guess her age, and I believed 21, but would have assumed 18/19 had I caught the part about beating a "teenager". The ONLY reason I know she is supposed to be 16 is because I read the comments under the Lune nude mod. Had I not read that, she would still just be another cute, ADULT, woman in the party to me, as I had initially assumed.  

The point I'm making is, had the developers simply typed 18 (or 19) instead of 16 on the website that has her bio, there would be zero argument or question about a nude mod for Maelle. What matters, at least to me, is that she isn't child-like in any way, so I don't acknowledge the morality police on this subject. Simply because the developers typed a 6 on their website instead of an 8 changes nothing about her IN GAME. She is simply a very attractive, red-headed short queen that the developers gave a woman's body, personality, mannerisms, curvy bum and cute breasts with breast jiggle physics to. (I dated someone named Chelsea who was shaped exactly like her, short and petite, but blonde and not nearly as cute a face. She was 32 at that time, so yes, she is definitely shaped like a woman!)

Now, if Maelle were a real life person, then ya, that's a problem. We protect 16 years-olds because many of them aren't all that experienced in life or mature MENTALLY yet. It's not because they are too young physically. But Maelle is a fake character of pixels that is really just a cute make-believe character that people want to see standing around naked at camp along with the other women in the party. Nobody wants to give her a credit card or a job. Nobody is trying to marry her, or talk her into an investment scheme. I don't think the pixels that represent her are in any danger here.

Oh, last thought ... whoever makes a mod for Maelle, just name the mod "naked 18 year old Maelle". In the description, type that your mod changes her age to 18 in game. Poof, no more morality arguments.

I'm not trying to get the rules changed or anything, any site has the rules they see fit to make and that's fine.

But quick question: what is the age of sexual majority in the US? Because in France, it's 15 yo + 3 months, thus making Maelle "legal". You can date a 16yo if you're an adult in France, you just can't take her away from her parents' authority or something like that until she's 18 (not an expert since teenage girls don't really interest me in the first place, irl they're just dumb as hell)

 

The developers being french and making her 16 is not innocent, they could have said 14 or even just turned 15, she would have been a child in the eye of the french law. They chose 16, so they knew what they were doing (not saying they were asking to see nudes of her lol, but they knew she wouldn't be considered a child but more a young adult)

 

Also, in a world where the oldest people are 33 years top, I don't think the moral would be the same. Then again, I know it's irrelevant and the site has to abide by real world standards, which is fine. I'm just curious to know how it works in the US, knowing majority is 21 instead of 18 in most of the EU

 

edit: Google search told me it's 16 in most States in the US too, but I don't trust Google enough, sometimes you see something and 2 lines down it's the complete opposite information 😆

but yeah its a bit stupid that most countries and even the US 16 is legal age of consent and there shouldnt be a problem.. but apparently there is.... and its just moral stuff! but yeah not to mention the 33 oldest person on the city of lumiere, literally they need to procreate at young at very young age to have enough time to teach the osprings and have them ready to battle few years later... so in that scenario a 16 yo could be a happy mom in there... but probably they didnt want to go that far into showing that.. but you could see how a 20 yo had like an 8 year kid xD, so, similar stuff! anyways..  I really would love some rules here would get more lapse for the sake of everyone.. but they wont.. but yeah its a bit unfair to see how other games have 16yo and is fine (persona)... but maelle is 'wrong''.. too bad is my fav character!

Not quite, each year the number goes down by 1 AND Maelle's age go up by 1, so rn she is 34 - (9*2) = 16.
 

But it absolutely should not matter, since when does we care about fiction character's age on this site

Each year, the artist reduces the year of “erasure” by 1
16 + 9 = 25. 34 - 9 = 25.

Maelle would have been wiped out in her 25s.
