Good standard mods to fill out a list?

I'm building a new mod list after ~200 hours on my first one. I'm pretty much wrapping up list for sex mods (SD+, BoS, SL Survival, general slavery/corruption list) but I pretty much exhausted all the quests in the base game in my first playthough (even with some padding out time with Missives). I'm looking for some suggestions for additional non-sex mods to help fill out the playthough and keep things fresh while exploring the new LL mods.

 

I'm considering stuff like Legacy of the Dragonborne (which I've heard some love and some hate), Sirenroot, and/or The Forgotten City. The one thing I'm worried about is my last playthough when I went through Solstheim it felt like a lot of my mods didn't really translate well to the new zone since they were designed with the base maps, towns, NPCs, enemies, and items in mind. I kinda just rushed through its main story as fast as I could and get back to the mainland so I could resume good function of my LL mods. I'm worried some of the large mods that are entirely new locations could have some of the same issues

 

Am I worrying about nothing or are there certain mods that people have experience with working better or worse with LL mods? Are there any big quest expansion mods or packs that take place in the base game map? Does anyone have any additional good recommendations? They don't have to be strictly SFW either, but I'd prefer at this point to mainly add mods that are majority combat/puzzles/dialog/etc and not mostly sexual content.

 

It is worth noting that I've never done any modding of Skyrim until I started doing smut mods a month or two ago and the last time I played Skyrim before this last modded playthough was in 2012 so I don't know anything about the SFW mods I mentioned here or what other stuff is out there on Nexus. It is all fresh to me which is great but it does make it a bit harder to plan out a build.

Yeah so I know what Nexus is, mentioned it in my post, and even mentioned multiple Nexus mods I am considering so just saying "Nexus" kind of misses the entire point of what I'm asking and isn't really helpful.

There's a zillion SFW mods on Nexus and about a handful here on LL.

Yes, and I'm asking if anyone has recommendations for one on Nexus *or* here that work well with mods *from* here. I know where to find them, but I'm wanting to learn from people's experience on which ones work well to support LL mods. I didn't think it was that complicated of a question.

 

Like you said, there are a zillion SFW mods on Nexus. I can't exactly try them all so I'm simply asking for suggestions so I don't go in blind and find out that one of them is horribly incompatible with my LL mods hours into the playthrough.

You mean you don't want to put in the time and effort. How do you think the people here discovered which mods were for them and which weren't? Only you knows what you like. There's no difference between a Nexus mod being incompatible, horribly or not, with an LL mod and with it being incompatible with another Nexus mod.

I have "put in the time and effort" in making my first build list, which involved lots of trial and error and false-start playthroughs where I got multiple hours in and realized something was broken, of poor quality, or otherwise caused issues. I'm continuing to do my own research on mods, and part of that is making this post here and deferring to the wisdom of people much more experienced than I. I'm sorry if that annoys you and you would rather have me bang my head on the wall on my own without seeking information or discussion.

Awesome, thank you! Sounds like I should avoid LOTD. The two Rigmor mods look very good, I'll look in to them a bit more and probably give them a try.

If you use SL Sexual Fame and Rigmor be sure not to MCM the child hider! won't spoil it for you but trust me leave it off.
