erc1971 Posted March 27, 2025 Posted March 27, 2025 Outfit Studio Question: I use Outfit Studio regularly to increase the mesh volume when clothing clips with the body shape I use in game. I am having a specific problem with this dress: https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mods/1151/images/43844/43844-1584047404-1868728609.jpeg from this mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/43844?tab=description when I go to save the file a window pops up that says "There was cloth physics data loaded at some point (BSClothExtraData). Please choose all the origins to use in the output." There is only 1 option to select "data/meshes/vtaw/wardrobe5/dress/dress.nif" After saving the bottom of the dress from the waist down is all jacked up. Any fixes for this? Thanks

Thanks At the beginning of Fallout 4, there was a solution for breats physics using a skin for Sturges' welding goggles. This was saved as BSClothExtraData in the NIF. You can click Cancel to dismiss this message when saving in Outfit Studio. This way, no more BSClothExtraData will be generated in the NIF when saving. Thanks to CBP/OCBP, this type of physics is no longer needed. So, you should click Cancel. The message will never appear again. PS: If you're unsure which "Exotic Bones" are being saved, check before the Bones tab in OutfitStudio. It could theoretically be regular Cloth bones—who knows. Edited March 27, 2025 by Andy14
erc1971 Posted March 27, 2025 Author Posted March 27, 2025 I saved and cancelled to dismiss the message. Same issue, the dress is all distorted from the waist down.

Dasselbe Problem, das Kleid ist von der Taille abwärts völlig verzerrt. If you want to import the Bones/Havok data as BSClothExtraData, select the displayed Nif when the message appears and click Okay. 9 hours ago, Andy14 said: PS: If you're unsure which "Exotic Bones" are being saved, check before the Bones tab in OutfitStudio. subaverage Posted March 28, 2025 Posted March 28, 2025 (edited) Normally this happens when an outfit piece already has physics (havok) and some additional physics shall be added. This mostly breaks them and you see the described effect. Do you use a mod that automatically adds physics (additional BSClothExtraData)? Or you could try to override the shapedata and slider set of the outfit with the original files and in Outfit Studio check the parts for bad bones. Edited March 28, 2025 by subaverage

All I am doing is importing the .nif file in Outfit Studio, increasing the mesh volume along the upper belly where it clips with the body shape I use, then exporting it back to the .nif. Would you like me to attach the .nif for the dress and my bodyslide preset to this thread? That way you know what file I am trying to use. Edited March 31, 2025 by erc1971
subaverage Posted March 31, 2025 Posted March 31, 2025 When I see it right you mean the dress from Vtaw Wardrobe 5. So I downloaded and tested it with my preset. The BSClothExtraData is in my eyes the physics for swaying the lower backside back and forth when the character moves. The front doesn't swing and the legs clip through when moving. For me the dress works as intended (I believe). I also increased the upper mesh and nothing broke. Because the dress already has these swaying physics adding additional ones would break them (at the waist). That is why I asked whether you use mods related to body/ clothing physics. If not the only suggestion I have is to reinstall the "Vtaw Wardrobe 5 Bodyslides" again and try to rebuild the outfit.
