Guest Posted March 24, 2025 Posted March 24, 2025 I have successfully installed and tested SOFA framework with NG 98 beta and several mods. I have a problem with making the changes persistent. I am using MO2 as the mod manager, and have the latest versions of MCM and virtually all else. What is the location of the main ini config file? Settings reset to default every time I relaunch the program. The MCM config of SOFA does persist between the save load cycles but not between game instances. Quit game, start game cycle. Everytime I restart the game the my MCM configuration of most mods, especially of SOFA disappears. I have been looking for the main ini file of the SOFA plugin. The config folder of SOFA framework seems to just contain the config ini.'s for the spunk but not much else. My normal mods from nexus and also some mods from here are keeping the options changes persistent without problems. SOFA framework and some but not all LL mods are the exception for unknown reason Thanx
Neutron_rus Posted March 24, 2025 Posted March 24, 2025 SOFA is just a bundle of base sexout mods for easy install, it doesn't changes any of them by itself. Settings in most sexout mods are save-baked, this means that it doesn't depends on current session and won't reset anything as long as you load the same save file after. SCR (Sexout Drugging is included in SCR's mcm) and Pregnancy have built-in config save/load options in mcm for easy swap of config presets. I'm sure Spunk have something like that as well.

I understand. To be more precise, I will illustrate with an example. After installing SexoutNG 98, in MCM menu appears section named SexoutNG. It's a long menu with a lot of variables. These variables change everytime you start a new game. Normally I would expect an .ini file to be included with the mod that I can open via mod manager. I would also expect that once I set the values via MCM the values would be persistent between the games. It is not so. So I wonder how to set these values permanently. I would expect an "global" ini. But it might be the case the sexoutng MCM menu is actually a collection of settings from other mods. So I am guessing it's just a little confusing to setup.
Neutron_rus Posted March 24, 2025 Posted March 24, 2025 In case of sexoutng, it's mcm code wasn't changed much since like 2016, so yes, it's a bit outdated comparing to modern days modding. So for now that's how it is.
