Casual Romance is a lackluster for NPC's

So I've been trying the casual romance feature out for a while now and although its a great concept its a bit of a disappointment with the way it handles NPC's and the chance of them asking for sex.    You see with regular romance the chance of an NPC's asking you for sex is mostly down to how high the romance bar is as well as whether they are in a relationship with say, your controlled sim for example.   But because the casual romance option does not raise the romance bar and you stay clear of forming a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship, the chances of most NPC sims asking your sim for sex are next to never, even though they are your casual sex partner.  Sure there's the booty phone calls that "might" happen, but apart from that it's as though there's no interest in sex there.  Cheating the romance bar to max sometimes helps, but still, there seems to be something seriously lacking here. 

Here's an example of my findings in my tests:  I have had roommates that live with my sim in established casual sex relations.  They would never ask my sim for sex, but when he's out on another lot somewhere he might get the booty phone call.   This makes no sense.

Logically, the NPC sim should be just as interested in wanting sex with their casual sex partners as they would if they were in a boyfriend/girlfriend relationship with a maxed out romance bar, but sadly this does not seem to be the case.

Hopefully this will be fixed in later updates.

NPC autonomy for asking sex is weird for the least. You can have a sims crossing all the neighborhood to ask to do naughty things with your sims even if they barely know each other  but your sims can spend the whole night flirting without being asked for.

Must be your WW settings because NPCs are asking for sex every 2 min. in my game(Extreme Intensity Setting, Open Relationships, Cheat: Always Accept 1 green bar).

And if I flirt with them or do romance interactions it's even less time but it works better when alone with them.

At a club, bar, or other public venue my sim seems to always get interrupted by another different NPC asking.

 

What bothers me more is having high relationship bars with other sims and a stranger asks for sex instead of the wife, gf, lover, etc.

 

WW autonomy still has a preference for low, or zero relationship sims asking for sex rather than romantic pairs.

At least for player sims anyway, but it could be they just have a higher desire level too.

 

Married NPCs usually stay together though unless they are alone.

But give them the WW Eternally Faithful Trait and they won't cheat with others.

Or just give one the trait and let the other one cheat.

 

I don't bother with the casual romance trait as it really isn't needed, unless it's for booty calls.

Hey! Thank you for sharing your findings, you're right to think that Casual Romance progress isn't contributing enough to Sims probability of having sex. I will have that adjusted in the next update. Although the strength of Casual Romance is meant to be less than regular Romance, as it's not really possible to see it, but gaining Casual Romance is significantly easier and quicker than regular Romance.
