Darkening Demise Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 I only make followers and currently a dungeon in progress for Skyrim. I don't mod for Sim games. Won't be getting 4 since it looks like 3 with more emotion and better yet lazier building with dragging. Failed at modding Source for HL2 (Resident Evil Fall of Raccoon City) on moddb.com. Made many maps on Source for its many games. I don't do well with distant teams. I left Brainbread: Source because of that. The team went quite for too long and I left. If I do make anything it will be on Survival/Horror/Survival Horror since that is my edge/fav genres. Not good with making sounds: http://freesound.org.../zombie_expert/ or music: http://aws216.newgrounds.com/audio/ Failed at many games but some are available here: http://www.theisozon...hp?f=98&t=32957 Others http://www.moddb.com...s/ze-tournament http://www.moddb.com...of-raccoon-city http://www.moddb.com/games/2012-zday http://www.moddb.com...lum-of-the-dead http://www.moddb.com.../fort-half-life http://www.moddb.com...ional-wasteland http://www.moddb.com...of-raccoon-city http://www.moddb.com/games/area-52 http://www.moddb.com...of-the-zombie-2 http://www.moddb.com...s/bullet-of-war http://www.moddb.com...-is-just-a-game http://www.moddb.com...biohazard-alert (This one was when I tried to make box art in Photoshop) http://www.moddb.com/games/stenches-of-the-night-2 http://www.moddb.com/games/alien-repeller-3d http://www.moddb.com/games/little-goblin-bugz http://www.moddb.com/games/dementium-fpsc-remake http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=206531&b=25 http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=207399&b=24 http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=209175&b=24 http://sandbox.yoyogames.com/users/Zombie_Expert http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/47041/ (Failed and abandoned) (WARNING +18) http://www.hongfire.com/forum/showthread.php/416266-Database-Artifical-Girl-3?p=3468239#post3468239 (WARNING +18) http://www.moddb.com/mods/z-chronicles http://www.moddb.com/games/vandalta http://www.moddb.com/games/gramma-voon-boom http://www.moddb.com/games/alien-repeller http://www.moddb.com/games/stenches-of-the-night-2-the-outbreak-starts http://www.moddb.com/games/stenches-of-the-night http://steamcommunity.com/id/darkening-demise/myworkshopfiles/?appid=0&sort=score&browsefilter=myfiles&view=imagewall
gregathit Posted January 1, 2014 Posted January 1, 2014 Not really sure of your point in all this. Surely you are aware that most major mods never actually get completed. Often the project is too ambitious or real life just up and knocks things apart. The key is to pick something you really like, and start small. Once you complete a task then slowly expand that or make a related mod and just keep going from there. Plan for a big mod, but do things in bite sized phases that are standalone so you can get some enjoyment out of it. This will probably take longer but you will have something to show and enjoy for your efforts if you decide to move to another game at some future point. As to failures, well that unfortunately is the way we learn best. Use those failures and take the lessons learned from them to make both yourself and your future projects better. Cheers, Greg
Darkening Demise Posted January 7, 2014 Author Posted January 7, 2014 This is all my failure throughout my teen years. I started at 13 and am now 19. Everyone panned what I made so it is considered failure just like they say. If cannot make something that is well received or even liked then it is indeed failure. So I posted it to show what people should avoid. I feel like modding and game design isn't right for me but it is what I enjoy and wish to do for a career. Nothing else holds my interest and compared to other things this is all I can do and know.
