Unless you have a file belonging to a later version that could be interfering with the animation since you say you did update at one point, that's the only thing I could imagine being wrong with it, as Greyu would know outright if one of them were broken before setup as a whole.

 

One thing that could be hurting you is that unipal 1.6 apparently creates new files according to another thread 

 

So this could very easily be what the matter is.

My Unipal version is v1000 and Scake is v0.6.6.... I haven't updated them in a long time. Honestly, I think maybe something happened when Greyu updated the mod, maybe they over-wrote something by accident or something else, because I haven't changed the way I have installed any of the updates. But maybe I am wrong, but the only thing I can say for sure is that the rayhound animation works in v1.6.6 of greyu's mod, but stopped working (for me at least) sometime after he released the proceeding updated versions of his mod.

That's half your problem, your versions are insanely outdated. You want unipal 0.1.5 and cake 0.6.18 specifically, anything else and you're asking for problems.

 

Otherwise, he's on version 1.7.1.5 on his animation pack, which only works (seamlessly) with the above versions.

The only version of unipal I can seem to find is the same version I downloaded and have been using from Nexus, nor where to find scake version 0.6.18.

 

Ok, I got scake 0.6.18.

 

I found Unipal 1.5... I am stupid for not checking discord sooner -_-

I installed both scake 0.6.18 and unipal 1.5... but it still says I am running the same, older, versions when I load up the game.

You need to check your binaries for anything that may have been added, but otherwise double check the contents of what each zip you used was compared to the version that does work.

 

Something was left behind that's overwriting your attempts.

Finally got that animation working again. I, on a hunch, decided to download and install Greyu's "Optional add-on" folder... and now it just works.

Ah, I wouldn't think the optional pack would matter since the only things really in there are post animation effects typically (shock, hunger restore, healing, etc).

Hello o/

I use vortex.

 

I downlaoded the versions of unipal and scake recommended. (at least i think that's it. 
However when I try to use animations it says "AnimEvent not found" and in Scake Menu there are no AnimEvents found either. 
I'm using T-Box's mesh's and only theirs. 
I tested Anubis and Azurobe but it didn't work. 

since Greyu's files are just in the ~mods folder, I assumed it was put in /Palworld/Pal/Content/Pals/~mods
So I created /Pal/Content/Pals folders and put Grey's ~mod folder in there. And i double checked and made sure that when Vortex deployed they are in   /Palworld/Pal/Content/Pals/~mods

Am I missing something or doing something wrong? Am i supposed to use Altermatic? (although nobody said it was required)

For a start: Vortex doesn't always work well with PW and can cause issues with a mod or several as consequence sometimes.

 

Otherwise, did you run the bat file for scake while the animation jsons were in the folder (AnimJSON)? 

Alter isn't needed unless you want to use specific skins with the animations over the default pal meshes (more typically used for Jackal, Zen, and Bakkas pal skins)

 

Lastly, Greyu has a lot of animations that are to be used with TBox models, which don't play well with altermatic mostly unless you're using his pal dresser mod.

This is what i get when opening scake and looking through the menus. 
I also installed PalMagic after reading Greyu's .txt file in their mod. I also ran the .bat file palmagic said to do. (also files in right place)

wait there's a .bat file for scake specifically? I didn't know as the download for scake was gone so I had to get it off of discord and even then there weren't any instructions. I found the .bat's do I run _Create_Load_list_.bat and _Create_Load_List_MO.bat?

And I got it to work, thank you! in the end I ran the _Create_Load_List.bat and everything worked.

Sorry I have another question. 
So I'm using only T-box's mesh's. 
So when I do HumanXPal I can press R to open the debug menu during animation. 

However when I do PalXPal when I hit R, no debug menu appears, I wanted to adjust positioning as positions of pals are not on point. 
Is there a way to do that?

Also not sure but for Celesdir, the DoggystylexHuman and BoobjobxHuman, Celesdir is a spaghetti. I'm thinking because I installed the anthro of Celesdir? 
In that case how do I disable those animations?
Also when I tried to do SFW animations like lovander's it didn't work. Is this because I have T-box's mesh's installed?

You have to enable debug mode in scake's settings, not the animation settings.

 

As for the animations themselves: you have to double check if the animation is for that mesh specifically, it's usually in details of the participants needed.

You can disable individual animations in scake settings under.....preferences I believe it was?

 

Lovander's should work in general because it's not tied to any specific model (but it works well with versions like this considering Greyu's), unless you're talking about the effect it's meant to have if you meant loving hug/healing touch, in which case you want to check the "Greyu's Experimental Add-Ons" folder contents were added in as instructed.

 

I'm wondering if you may need to rerun your .bat file for animations because some working and others breaking means something may not have been applied properly.

Ah i didn't know you could disable animations through scake, I found it and was able to disable the ones that don't fit the meshes. 

I have enabled debug menu even after that pressing R when let's say LovanderXFuta Starryon nothing appears. I can still control speed through H. But other than that enabling debug hasn't worked.

I don't have it installed, but I think Futa Starryon is over males? If its a female it could be messing with it possibly?

Ah good catch, yeah I did also try both genders just to make sure. The male one is considered futa while female is just female (although they both share the same model). 
Same thing unfortunately. It seems that when the player character is in the animation the "R" key works. However once it is just Pal X Pal, the "R" key doesn't pull up any menus. T.T

Thanks for your help, I really appreciate it.
Basically most of the mod works for me so that's good enough. Maybe one day It'll somehow come to me on how to solve it.

you have to use Shift+K first to target an animation you're not a participant of
