AAAndreyKongo2 Posted March 5, 2025 Posted March 5, 2025 (edited) I modded and played Skyrim for NSFW purposes for the first time in 2020. I have gained a lot of knowledge on skyrim modding, and now my semi-complete list includes over 800 mods. I quite like the NSFW way to play Skyrim, but my soul yearns for something different. I was intrigued by Sims 4 WW mod and all the other NSFW stuff. But I've never played Sims before. What should I expect from the gameplay loop? How good is the NSFW stuff? Should I play the game unmodded first? What mistakes to avoid and is it even worth it? Any advice and opinions would be apprectiated. Edited March 5, 2025 by AAAndreyKongo2
kamoewarrior Posted March 5, 2025 Posted March 5, 2025 Why don't you just play it and find out? Its not a complex game and its free to play. As with any game out there playing unmodded first is better because as you play you find out what stuff you want added, changed, or removed. What do the NSFW mods look like? You are already here so why don't you go look at them yourself?
Meko0o Posted March 5, 2025 Posted March 5, 2025 "What mistakes to avoid and is it even worth it?" It's worth it because the sims community is very large and you have an incredible variety of mods to try and realize what you really like. What you should avoid at all costs is having a bad organization with the mods, for this have the folders well organized, either by creator name or body part, autonomy, overwrite, poses, etc. This will make it very easy for you to find mods or cc that you don't like and delete them. The sim 4 mod manager can help you a lot, since it allows you to navigate between your folders and see the cc thumbnails of the items. Because you will need to delete a lot, in order not to saturate the game and keep what you want.
Croisa Posted March 5, 2025 Posted March 5, 2025 In comparison to the Skyrim modding community the Sims community is pretty opposed to taboo fetish stuff like rape and beasts and similar stuff. You wont find that stuff with wicked whims but it does exist afaik elsewhere. In terms of the gameplay loop. the sims is a life sim so it largely revolves around managing sims needs, careers and starting a family. I find the vanilla game boring and wouldnt play it without mods, its more like a dollhouse than anything else. With mods you have things like strip clubs, porn careers, drug and gangs. You will enjoy the sims more if you're the type of person to roleplay and come up with your own stories. Wicked Whims is a really well made mod, probably the best sex mod for any game ive played. It hooks into the base game relationships seamlessly and Ive never had any major bugs or issues with it. Id suggest you play the base game with wicked whims and see how you feel about it. The base game is free and WW is very easy to install. Dont buy anything until you try the game because you may not like it if you arent in to simulation games and the dlc is insanely overpriced.

So you can use that to experience the vanilla game and see if it's something that you're willing to spend extra money for their DLCs. As a major spoiler, Sims 4 is like a virtual dollhouse where you create and dress up characters (sims) and there's really no major "story" or overarching "quest" to follow aside from random whims. You're essentially creating your own headcanon and stories and you can either let sims go about their day without interfering much, or control them as much as possible so they do exactly what you want them to do. And of course, there's the house-building aspect to the game. For essential gameplay mods, I highly recommend UI Cheats as it lets you modify various aspects of the game to make your gameplay easier. Some people swear by MC Command Center (MCCC), but I don't. I feel like that mod by default is way too intrusive and changes too many things without my consent at the start of the game, and I'm forced to change SO many things before I can actually play. And even then I don't feel confident that I've disabled everything that is enabled by MCCC at the start. But that's on you to make that choice. Just bringing it up because I know a lot of people will recommend MCCC. Again, I don't. UI Cheats is enough for me and lets me control the game as I see fit. If you're interested in sex mods like Wicked Whims then make sure you also download WW Inappropriate Unlock. It's an add-on that gives you the option to have teen-adult/elderly sex among other things. But unless you get Devious Desires (which is another sex framework that is incompatible with WW as far as I know), just note that you won't get things like animal sex with WW. It's a trade-off choice that you'll have to make. That being said, there's more support for Wicked Whims. In addition, I recommend NisaK's Wicked Perversions and Basemental Drugs, those two work well with WW. And obviously, download additional sex animation packs and others here at LL for WW. Are you happy with just a sandbox game in which you can tell stories and include lots of sex? The game might be perfect for you. Do you demand a storyline built into the game, with goals that you are trying to achieve, and just happen to witness a lot of sex along the way? Then it might be fun at first, but quickly wear itself out, because frankly, there are only so many things to do in this game before you are just doing the same things over and over. I think that's why the sex mods are so popular for this game. The good ones don't just add spice to the game, they extend the gameplay. For example, by combining only three of the most popular mods, you can set up a sim who is a druglord and pimp, and hoes out his tricks at the strip club where he launders his dirty money. It can get quite involved. 1

It doesn't help that the mod page hasn't been updated to reflect this change nor is there a discussions page for it. (In retrospect, I don't see why TURBODRIVER couldn't just reintegrate everything back into WW since like half of the features are already in there.) I suppose it doesn't hurt to leave it on my modlist though, but again thanks for the heads up! 1

First and most importantly: TS4 gets updated way more often than Skyrim. Which means script mods break regularly. As in every few months at least, if not more often. So you're going to spend a lot more time updating mods. On the bright side: Clothes, Hair, basically most of the stuff you find in Create-A-Sim and Build/Buy Mode rarely require updating. Although sometimes patches break items permanently. You can reduce the number of script mods to help keep things from becoming really annoying. However, the bigger game changing mods are all script mods. 2. I recommend doing your best to organize your mods. You wont be relying on mod managers for this game. So I recommend keeping each script mod in its own folder. So mods like MCCC, Wicked Whims, Nisa's, Basemental Drugs, etc. should all be in their own folders. This will make it easier to update them and remove them if they break. Also, script mods should only be 1 folder deep in mods. So Mods->MCCC, and no further. If you put them in more folders beyond that, they don't work. Create-a-sim and Build items can be several folders deep. What I usually do is have a Clothes folder. And inside that, a folder dedicated to each mod author. So it'll look like Mods->Clothes->Author. 3. The Sims 4 Tray Importer is a useful mod in case a create-a-sim item like hair or something breaks. It's difficult to know what's broken most times just by looking at a sim. So you can save a sim to your library, then open up tray importer and see what CC they have on and it lets you know if you've got duplicate mods, ones missing dependencies, or just broken ones. You can also do this with buildings in case a house itself breaks. For example, I've had issues where a piece of furniture I put down caused the household to fail to load. I would try to play that household and it would try loading it only to kick me back up to world select. To fix the issue, I saved the house to my library, opened it in tray importer and removed CC that the house had. Then I loaded the game and household and it worked fine, which meant the CC was the issue. Then I put the CC back one by one. Each time testing the household to see if it would load until I found the cause. It's also a useful way to remove CC you don't end up liking. Just save the house or sim that has the CC on it and check them in tray importer. That's all I can really think of. As for the gameplay loop, you're basically playing house with dolls. You can do what you want within the rules of the game and mods. If you want some ideas, there are people here on this forum that upload stories. You can find them in the blog section of this site. 1
