NMGRIM Posted February 26, 2025 Posted February 26, 2025 I accidentally saved on the world screen and I don't know how to fix it. Sorry I'm not good at English I'm in trouble so can you help me?
Crashdown117 Posted February 26, 2025 Posted February 26, 2025 The game automatically creates backups of your save, so you should be able to go back to the save from before you saved on the world screen. You can either go back to a previous save from in-game (choose to load a game at the start screen, then click that circle-shaped button next to the "load" and "delete" options) or do it manually outside of the game (go to "Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 4/saves" and change the file extensions, backups have an added ".verX" with X between 0 and 4 that you can simply remove to make that backup the "active" save file again). Whichever way you choose, you should be able to load the restored backup save and continue from that point again (meaning you'll lose some progress, but at least not all of it). Once everything works fine again, you might want to manually copy your saves folder somewhere else to create a additional backup that you can update regularly, just to be completely safe.
