Ark of Truth Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 So I have created a mod and packed it inside a BSA archive except the ESP of course. When I run Skyrim with the mod enabled the Main Menu options refuse to load at all. If I leave the files loose then the mods loads fine. What the BSA contents is: Meshes Scripts Textures Any ideas?
RitualClarity Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 Just a shot in the dark. Is it name exactly the same. .. that is no spaces after the names. I have had some issues before with other "files" where the spaces and such can really screw things up. The programs thinks it is a different thing because it has one more character (which is different ) than the one it is comparing. Other than that I am way outside of my element here... Ducks and runs away... Hops in spaceship and fly's to the end of the Universe. ( ).
Ark of Truth Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 It's exactly the same, it does however contain a space which is most likely the issue. Let me go check EDIT: Nope that didn't make a difference. It appears to be something to do with scripts. If I leave the scripts loose then the main menu loads fine it seems.
RitualClarity Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 That don't make any sense. Don't other mods use scripts and they are in BSA's or are they actually in the ESM/ESP. It could be that the game don't like running scripts from an ESP. Maybe for that you need an ESM to do so. Fallout does a few strange things with their BSA's as well. I am sure you will get to the bottom of it sooner than later. .. Sorry I couldn't help more..
Groovtama Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 maybe the bsa archive is corrupt, and the game can't finish loading the resources (bsa files because of it), bsaopt sometimes produces corrupt files for me.
