CC (mostly sculptures) bricking saves

For the last week or so I have noticed that some CC content is causing me to have the infinite save glitch. Initially it seemed it was 0nizu's torsos only, but upon looking into it further it appears to be CC sculptures in general and some furniture )[Kritical]).

I have verified the integrity of the game files and have attempted to reinstall some mods to be on the safe side but to no avail. At around the same time I did purchase some expansion packs, and that was when the problems started to arise. If anyone could advise it would be appreciated.

First comes the basic questions: is your game fully updated? Do you clear your cache regularly? (If not, try it and then try playing with the objects you think are responsible in your mods folder again). Also, I know you said all your mods are updated, but are you certain they're updated and all compatible with the current game version? (Some people see they have the latest version and assume it's compatible but it may not be and just never got updated)

If all that's been done, I'd suspect bad CC. For example I've noticed some CC objects come with Object Tuning attached. Most that do have custom tuning, but I've found at least one item on this site that had Object Tunings for all "object_sculpture" items, which made other sculptures not function properly because it removed certain functions and/or was too outdated to have them. I don't know if object tunings would cause an issue with loading, but if there's other outdated stuff that shouldn't be attached to one or more of the packages, that might be the culprit. If the above steps don't work, I'm happy to take a look at some of the files you think may be causing the issue to see if I can spot anything amiss (though I'm far from an expert on this stuff, fair warning)

I had a go clearing the cache, and it appears to solved some of the problems. I will have to do further checks for quite a few items, but it has made all CC content visible in the build menu now. I will try your suggested method to see if I can find the source of the problem. Thank you Ghost.

Well, of all the things I expected it to be it was an animation pack that contained sculptures as well. Thanks for the help FutureGhost.

I'm really glad you were able to figure it out, and that I was able to help! :)

Apologies for jumping into a a resolved issue but do you know which animation pack it was? Just came back to Sims 4 after about 2 years (had no problems before) and now I'm having the same issue where I hit an infinite saving screen in build mode and it happens consistently after opening certain categories (I haven't narrowed it down yet).

Hey update in regards to my own problem, might be a solution for OP or anyone else in the future who doesn't want to have to delete CC. Did some googling and found someone on reddit suggesting it was an issue with DX11 and some CC not being compatible. They suggested running a batch fix in Sims 4 Studio (Content Management>Batch Fixes>Misc>Update Images for DX11) on any CC you think is causing a problem. I did this for all my build mode CC and it updated about 30 package files (out of several hundred that I have). After that I haven't had a single save issue and I've kept all my files so that seems to have solved my problem.
