Herrmannesque Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 While I've been playing SKYRIM with mods and having a great time, one thing that drives me bananas is when a follower goes missing.  I'm using Amazing Follower Tweaks and have added quite a number of Companion mods. Most of them are still around but a couple have just flat out vanished, including one I created with the Creation Kit and she happens to be carrying all of my rare staffs!  I don't know if Amazing Follower Tweaks is the culprit or possibly the Dev Aveza as I've noticed that if I order several companions to follow me inside the cabin, leave the cabin and fast travel somewhere, sometimes a follower will get left behind.  Does anybody know if there's a tool or a mod that can tell you where all your followers are geographically or is there a console command I can use to summon a follower that has vanished?
AbbaZooR Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25554 Â moveto player Teleports the targeted NPC to you. (Works similar to player.placeatme <BaseID> <#> but does not create a new reference of the base object.)
Herrmannesque Posted December 29, 2013 Author Posted December 29, 2013 Fascinating... What info would I need to know about the follower to use in the command line?
Parky Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 In the upper left corner of the world map, right on the waters edge is a prison run by the Thalmor, just to the rest of that is a small camp site. I have had my followers reappear there when thinks went wonky on me.

Herrmannesque Posted December 29, 2013 Author Posted December 29, 2013 Thanks for your help! Fortunately I still had a save with this companion so I was able to get her BaseID from the console and the moveto player command solved my problem.
Guest Ragna_Rok Posted December 29, 2013 Posted December 29, 2013 golden rule of rpg's: SAVE EARLY; SAVE OFTEN. Â and one little addition: the first 2 values of anythings ID depend on your mods load order. so, if you lose a modded custom follower, and then move it up or down your load order, its ID will change slightly. just saying.
Parky Posted December 30, 2013 Posted December 30, 2013 extensible essential followers(EEF) will allow you to have a 100 followers, you can tell them to "relax" and then command them at a distance later to follow, coupled with the mod "Summon followers" spell. very useful for handling a large numbers of sex slaves, I mean followers....
Herrmannesque Posted December 30, 2013 Author Posted December 30, 2013 I'm thinking about making the switch to EEF. I'm just worried about what will happen to all the followers I have now. Do I have to dismiss them all before I turn off AFO?
Parky Posted December 31, 2013 Posted December 31, 2013 I believe so, and like the safest thing to do. I think there are uninstall notes on AFT
BlakeRyota Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13798/?Follower Map Markers.Once installed, every vanilla follower will have a dialogue option that says "Get Map Marker" and it will be added as a Misc quest. For example, Lydia. In the Misc Quests, there will be an option that says "Lydia's Map Marker", and you activate/deactivate it as you wish. For me, it is really useful, as it helps me to keep track of my followers. I since I have "UFO Followers" (I think its name is "Ultimate Follower Options" or so), I know they can't die by my hand.
Parky Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 take them to a place you know, make it their home and dismiss them and save. Follow the uninstall instructions.
gvman3670 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I use Puppet Master for followers. And if one gets "misplaced" I can just summon them to my position. Works like a freakin' charm.
