Seriously just save your money.

What you are paying for a laptop and can build a high end gaming PC for :-/

Clearly everyone has forgotten you can get desktop cases the size of a small dog, its portable and will let you upgrade it without any hassle.

You can't exactly use a desktop on the go though can you?

As much as I love my desktop it is just not practical for travel, and my job requires me to travel alot.

I'm think shinobi choose laptop for it's mobility and multipurpose? You can use laptop everywhere, like doing some office work when vacation at outside of town? I choose laptop for that purpose..
Sure if it's about performance I definitely choose PC, cheap and more powerful..

I like your profile pic it is spot on with trying to run Bethesda games with mods.

I think that performance ENBs/SweetFX presets and "lite" versions of known texture replacers may be the way to go when playing, in addition to reduced resolutions, and mid/low-res tweaks for added performance. Some power-saving features may have to be disabled while playing.

Also get a quality cooling pad, a good gaming keyboard and mouse (to reduce wear and tear on the laptop keyboard and touchpad) for longer playthroughs.

I'm pretty sure that even a decent laptop can run skryim on high with a good frame rate, but maybe the choices here in Deutschland are different, then again some of those hi resalution replacement textures and mods can eat up some ram.

If it's just for more stability and gameplay focus than pretty pictures, the other alternatives include using Vanilla Reduced Textures (used them and was able to go through one huge quest without CTD) and Bethesda Performance Textures (they're all optimized).

I'm using a pretty low-end Compaq at the moment (2.2ghz, 4gb RAM, integrated graphics) and the Vanilla Reduced Textures and a few other things have helped my framerate a lot.

So there are options/alternatives if someone is using a portable machine.
