Guide for adding new sound

Recommended Posts

I was unable to find a mod that does what i want, so now I'm gonna try to make it. I want to create a mod that adds a breathing sound whenever I sprint. Stamina is irrelevant, I more or less just want it to play whenever the sprint button is held down.

I already found a good sound file to use. Just need the advice on how to create the mod. I'm not very good with creation kit but with step by step instruction I should be able to get this done. I'm more experienced with TesEdit so if it can be done purely through that, I can probably figure it out quicker but would still need help. But in either case, I just want my character to have heavy breathing whenever running.

i already hear breathing sounds when i run, so do you have any replacement animation mods installed? because many people forget to add the sound events back into there custom animations when they create them.

There is a default breathing sound. I want to add a custom one. And a lot of the mods that do so are dependent on stamina level. I just want to add a new sound for sprinting breathing.

I do have an animation mod installed for sprinting but its nothing complicated. Very basic.

just edit the level that they start at.

I tried doing that. But there are two reasons that doesn't work for me:

1. The mod I used to use no longer exists. The creator took it down.

2. That still makes it dependent on stamina, meaning if "tgm" is enabled (which i frequently do for other conveniences besides infinite stats) I won't hear the breathing sound.

I want to find a way to tie it specifically to the running action, not stamina.
