Random CTDs on startup and Quicksaving

Hi All. 

 

Skyrim will randomly crash on me when I load a game.  It's not a load order problem -- if I try again right away, it usually loads up just fine. 

 

The other thing I've noticed is that quicksaves also randomly cause CTDs.  I've never had a problem with regular saves or autosaves.  Again, the problem is very random-- it works most of the time.  I am using an xbox controller mod to do the quicksave, but I don't think that's the problem.  I'll have to try quicksaving via the keyboard next. 

 

Is there a way to figure out what's causing these problems?  My papyrus log does show a number of errors and warnings, but it's hard to deceipher.
