Sorry for bothering with what many of you might think is trivia, but I have no skills in coding. It's very difficult to find good mods for Amber, and there are only a few that I find satisfying. The one I like the most looks gorgeous, but she has such a pale skin that it hurts my eyes. Could anyone give me some tips or forward me to a decent tutorial on doing so. I have tried fiddling with AmberBodyDiffuse.dds, but it has only a transparent layer with details of her vision. It seems it is not determining the skin colour. When I created a low opacity brown layer underneath the vision and flattened the image and saved in the correct BC7 (sRGB, DX 11+) .DDS format and reloaded the mod in the game, it didn't recognize the transparency. All her body was solid brown, and so were her clothes. It seems the game doesn't understand the opacity. And I have the suspicion that maybe the mod is not affecting her skin colour, which is being determined by default values in-game. Anyone could give me some tips? I have tried fiddling with LightMap.dds files before and there is a more natural modification but doesn't seem to be great. It is also very NON intuitive since the colours you use there don't reflect the ones that end up being represented in the game. It seems it's just a way of telling how the surface reacts to light. Anyone?

Hi. You have to invert alpha of dds, then edit. And don't forget to invert again before saving. Skin color is in *Diffuse.dds afaik.
In Paint.net it's Adjustments - Invert Alpha.

game indeed doesn't understand opacity unless you process ini with TexFX command lines
