More broken things!

Since the last update I've had to go through my mods/cc twice to update ones that are out of date and it looks like I might have to do it a third time as I've now noticed that there are some plants that disappear when placed (one of the Jungle Adventure plants) or grow in world (a chrysanthemum bush in Oasis Springs).  Is this an issue anyone else is having?  I did have something similar with BB items vanishing but that seems to have been a known bug that switching from DX9 to DX11 solved, now I'm just wondering what's causing this issue with the plants.

Or do I just wait until the next update in February and see if that solves it?  I'd love it if everything just worked as it was supposed to for 5 minutes!!!!!

Did you just update things that have been updated, or did you also make sure all other mods are still compatible? Many mods break and are never updated, so you'd need to remove them.

If you've done that, have you cleared your cache files? You should do so after every time you play, but it's even more important when updating and/or deleting mods.

If you've also done that, then have you tried repairing your game?

Those are the first 3 steps I'd start with.

Whenever I notice an issue that might be a mod conflict I remove everything from my mods folder and then replace them one by one, starting the game in between to see which one causes the issue, of course that doesn't really take into account other problems I hadn't noticed (now I'm looking for missing plants I'm seeing loads of them in Oasis Springs).

I cleared my cache and repaired the game, and that didn't solve the issue so it looks like I'll have to hunt through my folders yet again, though with the next update a week away I might just leave it until after that and see what else breaks.

Well removing all mods and even switching them off from the game menu didn't solve this, so looks like I'll have to log an official bug report (whenever the EA forum is back up again).

Do you have any mods installed that mod plants? or any that affect the graphics in the game?

Nothing that mods plants and I don't think there's anything that affects graphics.  Even with all my mods removed and switching them off in the game options the plants are still not there, surely it has to be some sort of bug with the actual game, right?

Not guaranteed. At times it can also be caused by hardware/specs of the system running the game. I know there are some glitches using some Nvidia GPUs.

If you remove all of your mods and the glitches doesn't happen anymore, then the issue would then be caused by one or a combination of your CC being used and not an issue with the game.

There's a vanilla bug where sometimes grown plants, even plants that have evolved, will sometimes just spontaneously revert to a "just planted" like status that have to grow all over again.  Not sure if EA ever fixed that or not, but it's been on their published bug list for a while.  Little Ms Sam had a work-around mod for this bug on CurseForge, but I don't remember the actual mod name.

Uninstalled all mods (again) and started a new game, where I moved a Sim into Evergreen Harbour and didn't see anything noticeable, so checked Oasis Springs (where I first discovered the problem) and all the BB/world decor plants are showing up.  It appears if I have a Sim living in a world/neighbourhood (don't know which, will have to experiment) then the plants glitch occurs, but if there are no active households then its fine.  I've logged it as a bug report on the EA forum to see if anyone else is having the issue, so who knows if I'll get an answer.

Gardening plants still seem to not be appearing, only if I hover over them do they appear like so:

This was a soy plant in the wild across from my new save file Sims house, I've not actually tried gardening on the lot to see if this happens there.  But it's not all gardening plants, some show up and others don't, there doesn't seem to be any sort of pattern to them.
