Hello folks,

I've had a progressive playthrough corruption, now I can't load any of the saves of my last session

the thing is there was no particular change..

Loading ctest cell and then the save did not help

Tried unticking a lot of potential culprits

Tried cleaning in resaver

 

Before scratching this playthrough and starting all over I thought some tech genius here would maybe point out an issue ...

Might be worth mentionning: there is neither an elk nor a giant's head in the cell I'm loading

Log is more helpful, I've finaly found the issue, it's related to the obody preset I'm using...

I think I'll give up

I've tried loading a much older save to see what happens, and basically : the saves are randomly corrupted upon saving.

Sometimes I save and I can load it 100% of times, sometimes I will never be able to load it.

This crash occured in RaceMenu, as its loading something. May want to Google "NIOVTaskUpdateReference" to see what comes up, if anything. Consider disabling skee64-memleak-patch.dll, and anything else you may have messing with RM. Failing that, I'd need to know exactly which version of RM you have, so that I can throw the dll into a disassembler.

 

Edit: Oh and if you have mods that alter a lot of morphs, like bodygen, or fhu with everyone around you getting morphed, this could explain your issues. I seem to recall that there *may* be some upper limit to how many morphs RM can save/load or otherwise handle.

Racemenu is v0.4.16

The base install is NEFARAM through wabbajack but I've modded the modlist so I won't get support from their discord :classic_sad:

I think this may be related to proteus ?, but I've disabled most of it and it still crashes

I'm inclined to think it's proteus because of the fact I can't get an older save to work

Well the good news is that the memory patch changed nothing. The bad news is...

The sledgehammer approach to this could be to delete the skse cosave. Obviously that's going to throw out a lot more than just RM morphs though.
