I have decided to get back into Oblivion and would like some advice

Specifically, what are the best body mods compatible with sex mods? Also, some suggestions for texture and mesh mods in general would be appreciated.

I haven't touched this game since 2016, and news of the up and coming remake has renewed my interest.

Here, this is a mod for clothes. but there is a skeleton and edited body in the options.
I think that they are the best, since I edited both the body and the normals at the joints of the parts.

Who's the author for most of the replacement meshes

Hard to know, most of those nifs I convert them myself to H-cup from a lot of mods, The male armor most work of AlienSlof & the folders structure was Vanilla Gear Redux mod.

I'd like to take a look at these files, but unfortunately they are omod files, and I do not know how to unpack those.

U need  Oblivion Mod Manager  &  SkyBSA  to run them without problems in game, Also Oblivion mod manager can easy extract them.

How do you extract mods using the mod manager? I see that it shows the mods in your data folder, but if I place an omod file in the data folder it doesn't show up.

What a dumb file format, just like webm... "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"... that's my opinion on that.

EDIT: I figured it out.
