Nethertale Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Hello I have problems with game freezing at 99% RAM usage but when I see Task Manager, It shows that Skyrim is barely using 8.5GB out of 16GB with PI-CHO EMB; So where is that damn 7GB? Why my PC using almost Half of it's RAM on other background proccessses when nothing except SAE, MO2 and Task Manager.
Lyreal Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 Your task manager should tell you already where your ram is gone.
Gukahn Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 (edited) Skyrim uses more than the taskmanager tells you because the moment you look at it, you already stopped half the things it does while you're playing it (Not to mention all the scripts that start while you play certain mods and quests..) You modded the game too heavely for your pc to handle it. Had that problem a few years ago too before getting a new one. So I would suggest go easy on texture mods and ENB 🤔 Edited January 19, 2025 by Gukahn
JimUpdating Posted January 19, 2025 Posted January 19, 2025 it may also be trying to cache some of the mods to avoid disk access during the game, so uses all the memory it can. If the game then needs a file not in cache, it may choke on file access times. check the size of the Skyrim directory with all the mods deployed. I had been worried where some of the Nexus collections are 50-70Gb of files, and how Skyrim would cope. In checking my own system, I have 113Gb of installed mods.
