TAWOBA + Improved Camera Compatibility

I'm an extensive user of Improved Camera for 1st person immersion and... honestly it has gone way better than I expected. It works very well with most armor additions I'm using and even some scenes. However, the newest (as far as I am aware) version of TAWOBA Remastered inserts this weird, awful static slab of meat in first person mode on most of the top pieces (for some reason the Elven, Orcish, and one random Ebony top has been spared). I found this post from about a year ago of another user asking about the same issue and the creator saying that this was added for compatibility with the now obsolete Joy of Perspective however they do not plan on fixing it.

I've had no success finding any update or tweak that removes this fake slab body. Annoyingly, I tried an older version of TAWOBA SE that does not have this obstruction, but it does not mesh properly with 3BA.

Is there any TAWOBA alternative, tweak, or fix to get around this? Alternatively, does anyone know how I could go about figuring out how to fix this myself? SunJeong said it there is "no easy fix", but is it technically difficult to do or just tedious? I'm not technically proficient with creating or altering meshes but if it is simply a matter of elbow grease and not proficiency I'm willing to give it a try.

I would really love to start integrating bikini armor into my build because I think there is awesome interaction with other mods I'm using like SLS, Devious Followers, etc. but I'd rather not switch to only 3rd person for it.

I'm not sure if it's the same issue, but some outfit mods have the wrong 1st person model so your wrist are cut out or you can see other oddities in 1st person camera. There is a synthesis patcher to workaround this issue by setting a default filepath for the 1st person models of the outfits you include (you must specify which plugins you want the patcher to affect). This way the 1st person view with Improved Camera shows the proper outfit and arms regardless of outfit or Improved Camera configuration.

It might be worth trying, especially if you already use Synthesis. If not you'll need to download and add it to your mod manager, then add the patcher (it can be done within the same Synthesis UI, no need for the github link from above, just search for a patcher with that name in the "Git Repository"). If so check the official documentation for installing it.

Joy of Perspective basically has the 3rd person body mesh in the 1st person arms mesh. A couple of options:

  1. Go through all ARMA records and delete the field with the reference to the 1st person mesh. This will most likely fix the issue, but it might leave you with no sleeves.
  2. Another, far more time consuming, way would be to open each 1st person mesh in Outfit Studio and delete the superfluous polygons.

Thanks for the options! 1. seems to have mostly worked, although a couple sets have some odd artifacts coming from somewhere. I'll look into 2 more, I've been meaning to get more comfortable with Outfit Studio anywy.
