ADVICE NEEDED on using diferent prfiles/instals for different bodytipes.

Hi folks, i always used BHUN as my main bodytype, but recently i got curious and wanted to try 3BA or UBE, any tips on making different instals on MO2 or something similar? and if you use many diferent bodytypes, how do you manage them?

Make a new profile and substitute BHUNP with 3BA and its requirements, leaving everything else as is, but obviously getting rid of BHUNP leftovers.

The only thing is that you now need apparel that has 3BA sliders and will need to build it every time in BS if you switch profiles, if said apparel had both versions. Genreated morph files are not exclusive to profiles, you will have mismatches if you omit this step.

If you go with MO2 profiles, keep in mind that the overwrite folder is not per-profile. Meaning for instance that when you generate outfits in Bodyslide, you need to make sure to move those files into a mod so that it can be toggled on/off with the profile. This could also apply to other tools such as FNIS and any SKSE plugin that creates files, depending on what else you change besides the body.

FNIS can create its own profiles. It's called 'file redirection' and can be set up in its .ini file.

 

Dunno about MO2 but in Vortex you can let it manage that aspect and it will not only create seperate directories for each profile, but will also auto-run FNIS after each profile switch or whenever any animation mod is installed, uninstalled, enabled or disabled along with proper patches for the current profile.
