mojodajojo Posted January 2, 2025 Posted January 2, 2025 With their attitude towards archiving things, I feel like it's just more misinformation to search up. When you do find the information, you've just got one more site with outdated info that you can't update. When I search for things, it's to save time. And I commonly necrod old posts to update info if I found it after my search. Now we have one more site where you can't. Is it better to have old info that you can't update ever that just sits there, and can never be corrected, or is it better to just delete it? Also, I want to skip any jump through hoops crap that no one will ever do to actually edit archived posts. As, if I couldn't find it easily, most people aren't going to either. Now, discuss and lynch me, but no one else, please. Civil and all that junk, and if I broke rules just delete the post.
kamoewarrior Posted January 2, 2025 Posted January 2, 2025 Just make a new post with the updated information and hope that it will show up in search results when someone looks it up. I don't see a need for a discussion because it won't change how reddit works anyway.
mojodajojo Posted January 4, 2025 Author Posted January 4, 2025 I just use it when I'm searching for an answer for something an it happens to show up in results. I don't purposefully seek to use Reddit.
beefers Posted August 25, 2025 Posted August 25, 2025 reddit is a dumpster fire full of human corpses.
