a1995c Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 I just realized that I have hundreds of wicked whims animations from creators installed that I cannot see in my game, but when scrolling in the mods custom content game settings I do see them? The specific WW animation from SovaSims that I am trying to use is [DOWNLOAD] WW - MACHINIMA ANIMATIONS | Patreon . I cannot find it in the Teasing category so I selected the Create Playlist option and found the animation there along with other hidden animations. I added the Getting Caught animation by SovaSims to the playlist and exited. I then clicked the double bed, selected 'sex' and then clicked 'playlist'. However, the Getting Caught animation is greyed out due to an error that says 'Sim Gender or Sex Location is not compatible', so I cannot select the animation that way etiher... I've searched and yet to see someone else with this issue, and I think the error is the reason I can't see the other hundreds of animations I downloaded years ago. I tried changing my settings to make sure my sims are not jealous and that animations weren't disabled, but everything is enabled. I'm trying to use this animation with a Male and Female sim. Wicked Whims is up to date and installed correctly so I don't know Recap: Lots of downloaded WW animations are hidden and not able to play due to the 'Sim Gender or Sex Location is not compatible' error. Also, can only see/read HIDDEN animations from the Playlist side, but cannot PLAY/SELECT the animations (can only read the name of them). Below, I also provided the creators animations I cannot see. For example, Mike24 has 766 animations but I don't have 766 animations to select from....only a few.
Crashdown117 Posted December 13, 2024 Posted December 13, 2024 WickedWhims always filters animations to show you only the ones that are compatible with the current "scenario" (location, number of participants, gender of each participant, sexual orientation). The way animations work means that you can't run the ones that are not compatible with the current scenario anyway, so that's actually a good thing and supposed to make your life easier. Now, let's look at the particular animation you mentioned and also captured in one of your screenshots: "Getting Caught", by SovaSims. If you look closely, you'll notice that the characteristics of that animation state "Location: Double Bed; Roles: B+B+B; Orientation BI". This means that the animation is supposed to be used with three Sims of any gender ("B" is for "both") and any orientation, on a double bed. You're trying to use it with a male and a female Sim, but that's only two Sims, not three as required by the animation. The error message you receive is a bit misleading, since it is actually the number of participants that don't match in this case. To "fix" this and see the animation in-game, you need to have a third Sim join the fun (any gender, any sexual orientation). By the way, you can change some of the WW settings to get around restrictions in terms of both gender roles and sexual orientation, but the location and number of participants (i.e. number of letters in the "Roles" field) are hard contraints that you'll always need to adhere to. As a side note: WW also filters out all animations that require objects which are not present in your game. This happens when you load into the game and see that purple WW message pop up, so if you can't see some animation at all in your game (not even in the selection for playlists or the animation disabling menu in the WW settings), that could be the reason why.
a1995c Posted December 13, 2024 Author Posted December 13, 2024 (edited) Thank you so much for your response 🧡! How do I go about changing my settings so that I can add a third sim for this animation? I wonder if my other animations aren't working because they require another sim, or if it's not working because the object the animation needs isn't in my game 😯 I have a third sim to participate by opening the door, I just don't know how to add her because when I click the bed, it only lets me pick one person. Can you help me? Edited December 13, 2024 by a1995c
a1995c Posted December 13, 2024 Author Posted December 13, 2024 (edited) *I wonder if my other animations aren't working because they require another sim, or if it's not working because the object the animation needs isn't in my game because there are a lot of 2 person animations that aren't working too. Can you help me make it possible for 3 people animation using the SovaSims Getting Caught Animation? And if you know how to fix the settings to get around restrictions in terms of both gender roles and sexual orientation and/or so the sims don't need a certain romance/friendship level in order to use the animation? I just tried looking through the settings and the animation still isn't popping up and I still can't figure out how to use 3 people. !!!! I also need to add that I don't have a check mark at the right bottom of the pop up when selecting a sim to do an animation with. After I choose 1 sim, it automatically closes so it doesn't give me an option to select more than one partner !!!! Edited December 13, 2024 by a1995c
Crashdown117 Posted December 14, 2024 Posted December 14, 2024 (edited) Additional Sims aren't added by doing anything with the settings, they are added by having them join an already in-progress sex interaction. If you actively play a Sim that is participating in a sex interaction already, you can click on some Sim that's not involved and find the option "ask to join" under the "Wicked" category. If you actively play the Sim you want to join, you can click on a Sim already involved in an ongoing sex interaction and again find the "ask to join" option in the "Wicked" category. Now, the absence of the checkmark in the Sim selection window makes me suspect that you might be running on a somewhat older version of both the game and WW (or maybe the 32-bit Legacy Edition, which should be basically the same), dating from before WW added support for initiating sex with more than two participants. Options to join should still be there regardless, they might just be somewhere slightly different (e.g. nested within a different sub-menu of the interaction selection that pops up when clicking on a Sim). As for the settings that allow you to get around some of the limitations: If you want to change how gender roles are treated, you'll find a host of options within the WW settings under Sex > Interactions > Gender Recognition (the actual labels are a bit longer, but I'm too lazy to type it all and also playing with a German translation package). Personally, I don't recommend changing too much there, as this can quickly lead to weird results when Sims end up in roles they aren't suitable for (e.g. a male Sim being penetrated as if being female). On the other hand, the option to allow both female and male Sims in male roles will let your female Sims use a strapon (if you have a WW-compatible one installed) and open up a whole new field of dynamics to have fun with. Regarding limitations on sexual orientation, relationships and so forth, I prefer to take the simple way and use the "Always Accept" switch that's provided in the WW settings under Sex > Cheats. The switch has three settings, with "half" still respecting things like sexual preferences (but ignoring e.g. relationship levels) and "full" being "anything goes mode" (the default "disabled" setting obviously does nothing). These options have also been there for as long as I can remember (which is way before the introduction of the Legacy Edition) and shouldn't have moved (or at least too much) over time, so they should allow you to tailor things to your taste regardless of your game and WW version. However, unfortunately I don't really use the playlist feature myself, so the part about figuring out how to make joining sex and all that run smoothly with your playlist is something I can't help you with. EDIT: My brain isn't what it used to be. I just remembered that there's actually an option to toggle whether or not WW sex can be started with multiple participants. It's found in the WW settings > Sex > Interactions > Interface (third from the bottom, labels might differ since I'm playing wiith the German translation package).
