Thank you so much! Unfortunately I've never run into anything like that so I don't have any definite answers Is your ini set for 4k textures as well? All of my tats are 4096x4096. If you need to set that or aren't sure, the ini should also have the line ;iTintTextureResolution=4096 under the [Display] section of the ini. The .dds files for all of the tats are also made with BC3 compression which is compatible with every version of the game to my knowledge so it shouldn't be the files themselves causing the problem. I'll also attach my own ini if you want to install that to test if that fixes it. Just install it with your mod manager and make sure it overwrites your current ini or just extract it and replace your current ini to make sure. Just make a backup of your own ini in case it doesn't fix the issue. If that doesn't fix it maybe try a fresh download/reinstall of the pack? Something in one of the files or the .json to make them work with slavetats might have gotten messed up somehow. Other than that you may have to ask around the Slavetats or SlavetatsNG threads because I don't know what else it could be or how the mods themselves work under the hood, I just know how to use adobe software and make the required .jsons lol. straysaint Posted July 4, 2025 Posted July 4, 2025 you know, i think you've got it there. im using crossover on an m1 mac, running 2k textures for everything. i dont think its a slavetats issue but a VRAM issue, the 4k textures are probably too high for my setup. any chance of you being able to compress them down to 1k/2K? im gonna try my hand at it with AI coding but ill likely mess it up haha

What might also work to save yourself the coding is to batch downsize them with Cathedral Assets Optimizer. Just run it for textures and select the texture folder in my pack with it and set it to the ratio (2 for 2k resolution and 4 for 1k) that you want or the specific resolution. Screenshot in spoiler: Spoiler You may need to go deeper in the directory for CAO to find the files, it's been a while since I needed to use it so I forgot exactly which folder in the texture path of a mod you need to use. straysaint Posted July 6, 2025 Posted July 6, 2025 thank you for linking CAO! that was much easier than whatever openai was trying to tell me to do haha i still wasnt able to get it work though. im not sure what the issue is, and will try posting in slavetatsNG forum to see if anyone has experience there with this kind of issue. thank you for taking the time to reply and again, amazing pack; hopefully i can get it working! 1
TheRightDoorIsNotTheLeft Posted July 13, 2025 Posted July 13, 2025 Here's an idea. I often do multiple "new as in new in the main menu" games. Is it possible to save tats to player in a json (or xml) file so you can save preferences and reload? Or even in the same game, have buyer remorse and revert by triggering "load player preferences"? Other mods do this, so I know it's possible.

I think it would work best as an update feature for ST or ST NG+ or a standalone mod itself. I don't know the first thing about coding or how I would go about making something like that possible on my end I will say a planned feature for my pack is to make "sets" that use multiple designs at once in a single layer to make applying a bunch much easier/not take so many slots, but I won't be making them until I get more overall tats in the pack first.

I discovered something by accident. If you add the tats you want to your player character, go into racemenu and save the profile. Next time you start a new character or if you have tat remorse after trying different options, simply reload the saved racemenu profile.

The only thing to keep in mind is that if your set tats in slavetats' MCM don't match the tats you have on from loading a preset in Racemenu, I think the next time slavetats updates it will remove/add tats in order to match what is set in the MCM. So if you use mods like Fade Tats or YPS Fashion, whenever those add or change something it will cause all of your tats to reapply as set in the MCM. I don't know what will happen if those slots in the MCM are just set to nothing tho, it might keep the ones from Racemenu then.
TheRightDoorIsNotTheLeft Posted July 24, 2025 Posted July 24, 2025 Here's a new idea: "I fucked your husband!" and "Not sorry!"
TheRightDoorIsNotTheLeft Posted December 28, 2025 Posted December 28, 2025 I am curious. Why use rar file compression instead of 7z?
The Ashen Posted May 27 Posted May 27 Have you considered combining some of these and making a replacer for the "Bimbo Makeover" options in BOS?

I have, or rather I did, I haven't worked on new tats in a long time and probably won't for a while yet if I ever do Most of my creative time for things like that have now gone into my 3DX content work which I now realize I have not updated here on LL in a long time as well lol. But when I was much more actively developing tats I did tell Jib they have an open invitation to use any of my tats if they ever wanted to implement some into BoS. 1
