Sims 4: Using WickedWhims in create a sim

New to Sims 4. I had the idea from what I read on the WickedWhims site that I could use that in the process of creating a sim by clicking on the green medalion/ jewel. I cannot seem to bring up any options for this -- I seem stuck with just the basic options. I'd like to see more sliders and options. I'd like to set my sim's sleep outfit to naked. How do I do this?

WW itself doesn't come with any additional sliders or something like that. The only things in CAS are that

 

 (a) Sims should be naked when you remove their clothing items (hover over the clothing category icons and hit the little red X if you see one) and that

 

 (b) the gender settings (click the three little dots below the male/female symbols in the top left panel) should decide whether a Sim initially has a penis or not (IIRC, this was changed some time ago and now there's an option somewhere in Live mode, but the options for "Sim uses toilet standing" should still equal or even be renamed to "Sim has penis").

 

Anything else (especially sliders) requires additional mods.

On a different but related topic, my F YA Sim wants to masturbate on her bed or in front of porno video to relax and feel good. At this point, that is the only animation I want to try. I want something 'vanilla flavored' w/o too much drama (my sim is a somewhat old-fashioned girl). Also, I wonder if the animation I use will change the appearance of my sim? Looking ahead, what if I have no other animations and my sim has sex with a male -- what will I see on the screen (w/o any animation downloaded for that)? You got any animations to recommend for my sim?

WW comes with a few "demo" animations built-in, but you'll definitely need to download some animation packages if you want to cover more than a few situations. I'd recommend getting two or three from the "Honorary" section of the list of animation packages on the WW download page for starters. Aside from that, I'd say the best way is to just go through the "Honorary" and "Active" sections and check out those packages to see if anything strikes your fancy.

 

As for how animations work (and what will happen when some WW sex starts), there's one important thing to know and keep in mind about WW animations:

They are characterized by all of their category (e.g. masturbation, oral sex, etc.), their location (e.g. double bed, sofa, etc.) and the participants (both number of Sims and individual gender). So, if you want to have a female Sim masturbate on a double bed, you need to have an animation that is made for one female Sim on a double bed.

You can use some options in the WW settings to adjust the gender recognition part (e.g. for allowing female Sims in male roles), but if you don't touch these settings, it'll all be like you expect it and your Sim(s) will progress through all available animations (unless you deactivate animation progression in the settings).

If you don't have an animation available for a given combination of participants and a location (e.g. anal sex on a dining table with one male and one female Sim involved), WW will tell you that and no sex will happen. If you don't pick a particular sex location (e.g. by having a Sim make a move on another, or because it's autonomous sex), WW will try to find a suitable spot (and also pick a sex category that has animations available). Picking the "Random" option when starting sex at a specific location (and thus also being asked to pick a sex category) will allow WW to select from the available animations in all categories.

 

Side note on gender recognition: There's a third gender role in WW - "B" for "both genders". This is sometimes used in a ... questionable fashion, tagging roles for both genders that should actually be male or female. So if you see some mismatches between how your Sim looks and what your Sim does, that might be the reason.

 

Regarding animations you don't want to see, you can always perform a shift-click (holding the shift key on your keyboard while clicking) on your Sim during some animation you don't like and find the option to disable the current animation under the "Wicked" category.

 

And about Sims changing appearance: Sims will undress as needed during masturbation/sex autonomously. If you have both suitable animations available (or adjusted your gender recognition settings) and some WW compatible strap-on installed (e.g. the ones by Azmodan), female Sims will also equip one when necessary. Additionally, any props required for an animation (e.g. a dildo) will appear out of thin air when that animation starts (if you don't have the required props in your Mods folder, the related animations will not be available in-game). All these changes are temporary and your Sims will return to normal after they're done having fun (they might stay naked, especially if they were initially).

Also, if I have downloaded no animation, but simply go with what is included in the basic WW -- what will I see on the screen as my Sim tries to have, say, missionary sex with her male friend. Will it be like Sims 3, and invisible under the blankets?

I re-read your last. As to my second question in the immediately-above post, I guess WW will simply say no sex will happen. Still wonder about the first question.

Nope, no changes to CAS sliders will happen. I've seen one or two animation packages tailored towards rather "well-equipped" male Sims, these might slightly stretch your "receiving" Sim's features while the animation is running, but that's all.

Generally, animators work with the rig (basically the "skeleton" of your Sims), same as the game devs for "normal" animations like walking. There are of course technical differences between vanilla game animations and sex animations, but that's all under the hood.

Exactly, if you have no suitable animation, no sex will happen and WW will notify you that no suitable animation could be found. WW sex is a different interaction, completely separate from the vanilla woohoo and trying for a baby interactions.

However, I think one animation for M+F missionary on a double bed might actually be included with WW. The demo animations were updated to a new set quite a few updates ago, now better showcasing the quality you can expect from the packages in the "Honorary" and "Active" sections. Still, they're only a handful and will probably get boring rather quickly.

I downloaded from Wild_Guy -- I liked the look of his work. Sad to say, though, none for F alone on double bed. I have yet to see what an animation looks like w/ my sim, but I'll keep looking. (Not interested in a guy hung like a porn star! Just a normal human being. 🙂
