anybody suceed ti make working the Neverwinter nights 1 mods ?

Hi

 

I deciced to tried some neverwinter night 1 mods. Specially the wink and silk.

I downloaded all the necessary resosurces provided on neverwintervault.org, but the mods refuses to work, the error message says a hak file is missing.

Any help please ?

I know this is gonna sound like 'did you try turning it off and on again'... but have you made sure its the version of neverwinter it was made for? you are not using enhanced version are you? Some mods were converted for it, I'm not sure if any work without conversion.

I have found this online 'Make sure you unrar/zip/7z the file from Neverwinter Vault. Make sure all related files are in the Documents/Neverwinter Nights/haks, music, tlk, etc.

Have your friend check their Custom Content list in the toolset for that specific module. They may have missed telling you of a hak that is required you have not downloaded yet.

Some old modules require CEP 1.x, which is a different file package compared to CEP 2.x. So if you have CEP 2.x, and it requires CEP 1.x, you will need to download CEP 1.x version as well.'

The last part might be what is causing the issues, I mostly played enhanced edition dance with the rogues, which sadly removed a lot of the dialogue in favor of animated scenes, I kinda wanna play the original version,

Highly recommend it btw if you want some slightly porny adventure, it would fit right in on this site in terms of content even if it would be on the tamer side. constitution governs your hp and your assets 🤣like visually changing it and being mentioned in the dialogues.

I use enhanced edition yes, that's the only one I found.

 

I installed the wink and silks 1 and 2, and dance with rogue 1 and 2.

dance with rogues 1 works, i guess... I don't succed to pass the first mission. (I'm not used to the no objectives markers !).

I got caught by a bunch of thieves, the dialogues suggested a sex scene, but I only got a black screen, and my character wounded and sick.

 

wink and silk1 don't work, the 2 works, but don't progress at all when the 4 guards enter the place...

If you buy NWN 1 on GOG you get the Diamond edition as well so you can play the older mods, (e.g. Original Dance With Rogues and probably most things which use CEP 1.x). Probably best waiting for a sale though.

Yea that would be the version thing then, dance with rogues has regular and enhanced edition, I've heard people sing praises of the original version though, apparently a lot of dialogues were cut with very detailed well written sex scenes. And yea it can be awkward without a guide you can prob find a rough walkthrough somewhere I think its worth playing through. It has some fun roleplaying options even during sex scenes.
