Guest Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Hi there, I have installed sex lab framework and all the necessary requirements and can access the framework in game. I have unzipped several Mods into the Skyrim/data folder but none of them work in game. I have had a look through the troubleshooting threads but can't seem to work out what is going wrong. I am completely new to mods and Lovers Lab so please be gentle with me! Thanks for any help
myuhinny Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Do you have skse http://skse.silverlock.org You also have to load the game through the skse .exe and not the skyrim loader. Also without a load order it's kind of hard for anyone to tell what is wrong as we don't know what you have installed in your game.
Guest Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Thanks for the reply. I have SKSE and am running skyrim through the loader application. I tried to produce a papyrus debug log but it seems there isn't an issue in that sense the mods just don't seem to "exist". How can I produce a load order, I will do it straight away. Im clearly doing something really stupid, I am correct in assuming to run a mod through the framework all I need to do is unzip the mod in the Skyrim/data folder and rerun FNIS, yes?

macdefault Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 did you activate the esp files in the games data?
Guest Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 McDefault that sounds like the step I have missed! I have just reinstalled everything and was about to post again. How do I activate the esp files?
Guest Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Ok I have just experimented slightly. When I launch the game normally (without SKSE) it finds the mods but obviously they won't work. When I load the game through SKSE it doesn't take me to the ordinary launcher and when the game loads it does not find the mods.... Im sure its something simple but as I said im completely new to mods and have not seen this in the walkthroughs on this site.
macdefault Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 ok do the following if you don't use NMM: Locate the file C:\Users\[your user name]\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\SkyrimPrefs.ini. Open it and search for the [Launcher] section. Add this line: "bEnableFileSelection=1" (without quotes) after that open your skyrim launcher and you'll a new option appeared: Data Files Open it and select every esp file. if you use NMM (recommended) go to plugins and select every mod enjoy playing with mods! another thing: try to use BOSS when you play with many mods. just youtube it and watch gopher's vid
Guest Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Thanks for your help! Up and running fine now, I knew it would be something simple. Now to do some experimenting with mods/modding
myuhinny Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/29632/? Mod manager is even better then the nexus mod manager (NMM) or so I have heard I still use NMM but mines a older build back before it went to shit and it stays at that build.
macdefault Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Thanks for your help! Up and running fine now, I knew it would be something simple. Now to do some experimenting with mods/modding im glad i was able to help!
sierraseven Posted December 15, 2013 Posted December 15, 2013 Thanks guys! I was stumped on this one too, kept flicking between the vanilla Skyrim launcher and the SKSE one because each was giving me a different piece of the puzzle! Reinstalling Skyrim for the final time, I guess it wasn't some unthinkably difficult hurdle after all :v
