SeedSan Posted November 2, 2024 Posted November 2, 2024 My version of skyrim crashes shortly after the main menu appears. I installed all the debugging systems I could find and got the two *.txt files attached. I use vortex as mod manager. Does anyone know how to fix it? crash-2024-11-01-15-24-06-REPORT.txt crash-2024-11-01-15-24-06.log
Kastagir Posted November 7, 2024 Posted November 7, 2024 Install and run SSEEdit. Crashing at the main menu is typically due to a) too many animations installed or b) missing master(s). SSEEdit will inform you of any masters that are missing. This is the Technical Support forum for classic Skyrim/LE. Post your issue in the Technical Support forum for your game version: https://www.loverslab.com/forum/73-technical-support-skyrim-special-edition/
SeedSan Posted November 11, 2024 Author Posted November 11, 2024 Hi Kastagir, I used SSEEdit, but it only gave me the conflicts and the error detection gave me nothing. I managed to fix the crashes, but I had to delete everything (except the backups). Now all I've got is my character turning purple, due to a missing texture.
Grey Cloud Posted November 11, 2024 Posted November 11, 2024 Use guides to learn how to mod Skyrim. Use guides to learn how to use your mod manager.

If SSEedit didn't report any missing dependencies then your game was crashing because you installed too many mods at once and one of them was broken. Mods are made by amateurs pursuing a hobby in their spare time. You should keep this in mind if you plan to spend any amount of time building a modded Skyrim. Install mods one at a time and play with them for a bit to make sure they play nice with your load order - or at the very least to see if they crash your game at the start menu. If you don't have time to do that then you'll not get much help here. Best of luck rebuilding your game. And next time post in the proper forum.
