Bodyslide failure - sticky-out feet.

I'm trying and failing to get a broken Bodyslide Project and NIF to work, and be ready to Bodyslide.  The NIF returns faults, and the Body originally wasn't set up properly in the outfit's Bodyslide project.

Might someone be able to glance at the mod (attached below), shake their head in despair at my efforts, and correct my mistakes?

  • Background: the outfit is Fireapple's Radiation Queen take on Ivy, where he did a makeover for Ivy Companion's dress, from Abe's improvement on the original Irma Feathered Dress. Since I run a 1k/4k game I didn't want to use Radiation Queen, but I want to kit Ivy out in Fireapple's dress version.  So I made myself a mod that would add it to her.

But the Fireapple outfit doesn't work in Bodyslide in the original mod and in my effort.  Secondly, there's another outfit in the mod for Ivy that I can't set up, either. Feet sticking out of boots is just one problem and I can't get the zap to work.

The two outfits are "Radqueen_ivyDress.nif" (no work done on it) and the "radqueen_ivyFeatherDress.nif" and OSP.  I've probably broken the latter.

In hope and thanks.

PS - this is for my own game, I'm not trying to dent Fireapple or anyone else's mods.

At first I couldn't get the preview in Bodyslide to show the outfit. I changed the path for shapedata in the osp to "<DataFolder>FG_Radqueen Ivy_Outfit</DataFolder>".  After that the preview worked and I could build the outfit. I couldn't test anything in game though, because I neither use FG nor do I have Companion Ivy.

I could only use the preview of Bodyslide and the one in Outfit Studio. No sticky out feet. I only see that when I temporarily load a normal body to an outfit that needs the High Heels System. Maybe that has something to do with that and the outfit needs the High Heels System. But as I said I couldn't use it in game, because I don't have the requirements.

Sorry to read that. But you have the High Heels System installed? As it seems to be a requirement. It is mentioned on the mod page of Radiation Queen and that you would have to adjust the boots if you don't have it.

I do indeed.

I am running out of ideas. Especially due to not using Fusion Girl none of the sliders work for me and I don't see any zap-slider. But some last questions though. Did you use the file that you linked to exactly as it is or did you make some changes later? Do other high heel outfits work correctly?

Do the feet sticking out of the boots somehow look like this?

Yes - that's the feet!

I think I'm giving up on this one.  Even when I've managed to get something resembling a good NIF and Bodyslide, the Bodyslide program can't load the NIF.

There may be something in the XML, or on my set up that isn't working for me.

Let's leave it here. Many thanks for your help and time! I do appreciate it.  👍

Ok, but one last thing please, because my post might have been misleading. The feet were not the result of your file, but something I did and I could imagine that your project accidentically contains what I did on purpose. I case you want to come back to this outfit some day you could let me know.

Thanks!  I know I can zap the feet (but had issues getting the zap to work). But the Bodyslide process still won't find the NIF, even with your xml adjustment. The xml checks out as valid, so how or where the problem is, I just cannot find it. The original author had problems, too.

If I think of anything or solve the problem, I'll let you know.

Thanks for your help!
