update on 10/22 messed my game up

anyone having issues with the sims 4 today. It went through update and now i can't launch my family.

If you're running Basemental Drugs, try removing it. Helped in my case, had sims missing + items/furniture in the household inventory i couldn't place saying "script call failed".

i already remove all basemental include drugs, gambling, drinks + optional, still same, no family appear when in game

While I can still start my game and household it's unplayable since I keep getting error popups about "death_object_assigned".

Most likely an error due to the useless Halloween event.

That update did the same thing to me. All we can do is patiently wait for WW to be on the job as I type this so their fans can once again enjoy the game the way we like it.

same here. did have an exception which stated basemental drugs ts4 package was the issue. (at 100%)

if you're running basemental remove that file and clear your local thumb cashe than try again.

or wait until there's an update version of WW. Basemental & NisaK

game trow exeption, my toons just stand there if select fuck, new game/toon is invisible, removed wicked, game start fine toons show, but its no fun without wicked

Same, here... my Sim can only watch some porn. when I select someone to have fun with, my Sim just stands there and the other one is invisible. I can't do anything except restarting the game.

After 5 - 6 years of playing The Sims 4, this is the only update to truly break my game. Im hoping a fix comes around soon or else ill have to play The Sims 4 differently.

Same here, only thing we can do is wait and see what happens. I am able to still use CAS however, so im sorting through all my mods to see what could be the issue. 

 

I am by no means a professional Modder or anything, but this website might help you to cross check mods that don't work, or mods that need to be updated if you have a large mod folder like my self.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, wtf this worked flawlessly!!! I recommend EVERYONE reading this thread to try this mod.  For me it was a stupid merged mod I downloaded here from a "Create a Sim Post" called "Maycps.package." I dont even remember where and when I downloaded it. 

 

The other mods that broke my game were:

[Kuttoe] LifetimeQuirks, PornStarTraits-WW, and the entirety of Big Dick Problems. [aka BDP].

 

Idk what anyone's mod set up is like, but I choose to post this here so people have some kind of answer to relate too. 

 

I'm not gonna post a link to the mod mentioned above. If anyone really cares they'll figure out a way to google it and do their own research because everyone's mod folder is different. [It took me 5 mins to find the mod on google btw]

maycps.packed is a mergedfile You'll miss out if you download Sims by 7BB or something else. It's best to search for the file after installing new Sims and delete it

Im glad I posted my concerns here. Id still be scratching my ass trying to figure out wtf i was doing. 

 

After the headache of trying to fix my load order this time around; ill be extra careful when adding mods. I recently downloaded "Sims 4 Mod Manager." Its been a great help.

i use Modmanager to this will not find out was fuckig out maycps.merged do is good for find douplicate and for akturalls updates was new...

Having all kinds of problems to the point that I uninstalled and reinstalled the game. Still getting a lot of not responding errors even with all cc and mods removed. I'm now going through the process of adding one mod at a time along with slowly adding my cc. (had a problem where a male sim was wearing a bra, had to go through 300 pieces of cc to clear up the problem. Didn't have that problem before the last patch) I also had a video card not compatible error that shuts down the game even though I have been using the same system for years.

I checked my system and it's at DX12. (checked dxdiag in run box) I'm also running windows 10 home. I also have the game in DX9 until I can figure out whats going wrong.

Finding more problems. During the game I sent my sim into CAS to make a change to her hair. In CAS everything looked fine but when I went back into the game nothing changed. Can no longer make changes in CAS during the game.

the Maycps.package file is the one that is causing my error. What does it contain? is it necessary for any sims model or I can delete it and it won't affect anything?
