Irishredneck Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 As the title says. In Sims 4 is there a limit, or any sort, to the amount of animations I can load in the game? At what point do things start getting wonky? TIA!
Crashdown117 Posted October 21, 2024 Posted October 21, 2024 From my personal experience and what I've gathered around here, things will never really get wonky - unless perhaps you have like 20k animations or something, I never went that far or heard about anyone that did. Depending on your machine, the amount of animations can maybe slow down the game a bit when launching it (as the game loads all mod files) and/or when loading into a lot for the first time after launching the game (as WW becomes fully active and shows its notification about how many animations you have). I have about 6k animations ATM and everything runs smoothly for me, about 10k made my game a bit slower during launch (so the game itself was to blame) in the past, but my PC is more of a mid-level performance machine and already a couple of years old. Rule of thumb: If your game starts to go slow on you during launch and/or first load, maybe think about going through your Mods folder and throwing out everything you don't really need (especially aniations and custom clothing stuff). Until then, don't worry about it. 1
