Script improvement (Closed)

I'm trying to adjust and compile a script, but rustiness and lack of experience is wrecking my efforts. It fails to compile.

Please see my question here: https://www.loverslab.com/topic/238474-abandoned-scent-of-sex-ng/

As said on that page, I believe the ssxDeferredModsLoaderQuest script in the mod is created for Skyrim LE, predating the use of ESPFE. Therefore it limits the mods at 255.

With my full load order of 236 ESMs and ESPs, I only get access to 16 ESPFEs, when there's buckets more ESPFEs with things I'd want for this mod.

I know this is a bit of a sloppy approach, but I was hoping to change the script to give myself 400 per slot, instead of 64, opening the Mod up to 1600 slots. I know the MCM might be a slog but that's not my worry. It's being able to access the ESPFEs in my load order.

But my efforts keep ending in failed compilation.

Would any kind person like to look at the script, shake their heads at my efforts, and compile a a version to make my idea work? Eldr3d has abandoned the project and I'd prefer not to trouble him if I can.  I intend to put the changed script up on that mod page for others to use, too.

In hope and thanks.

I updated the script to look at light mods (which it wasn't doing before, so I'm unsure how you were seeing any espfe mods at all - I wasn't originally) and put 400 mods per list. I included the pex and psc files, you can compare the psc file with the original to see my changes. I only tested to see that the list of mods (in new rule > participant > mod filter) included everything, not any actual functionality involving them.

Zeelok, thank you so much. I'll try it out and let you know how it goes. Cheers!

And yes - this works perfectly for me! Interesting to see the changes you made. I thought it had seen light mods, but obviously not!

Thank you so very much!  Is it OK to put the script up on the mod page for others to use?
