Find Mirabelle

 

If you finished Staff of Magnus, the tome is craftable. Read it to get an idea where to search.

 

About the tome:

 

Why I made it craftable.

 

1. I try to avoid overwrites of quest, scripts, world, npc.

    In this case, if I placed the tome, you would need Cutting roomfloor as master.

 

2. Tome only craftable, if you finished this Magnus staff quest and Mirabelle disappeared.

 

3. I would NOT recommend to get the tome via AddItem or similar.

The mod requires: "EstrusTrappedSpiderEggs.esp"
Anyone could direct me to the proper mod?
I have Estrus Chaurus and Estrus Trapped Eggs, but not spider eggs 😮

Not sure why this plugin had form version 43 in the header AND was an ESL but I unflagged it, resaved it in the CK, and re-flagged it.

 

I also added you  (Tlan99) as the author in the header so you get credit.

Thanks for making this. Tlan88. I had another mod that did something like this but I vastly prefer your approach.

 

P.S. - Those of you on versions of SSE that can't read v1.71 plugins will need B.E.E.S.

Because it doesn't matter. There is no relation betweennthis entries.

Form defines how entries are interpreted and the flag if a table entry will be made.

One can flag every form as esl.

No

She got disabled by the quest.

To understand the game mechanics.

Killing a main npc is not killing per se.

Nah, becomes too long.

Brief

disable, good thing, the char remains in the game. Enable brings him back.

Disable , delete, bad, new game required. Some make duplicates in this case, but not my cup of tea.

Works more or less, but can mess up lot of things. Different id.

 

This mod enables and moves her to a specific place if you follow the book text.

 

If she is back, you found her and bring her back to the college, business as usual.

Hello, how to remove the skyforge requirement? I have mods that make Skyforge available only if I join the Companions and I don't want to like to go through all the quest after I become the archmage. Kinda weird.

And why can't I take the tome from additem menu and mods similar to that?

I have completed The Staff of Magnus, (MG07) and The Eye of Magnus (MG08). I go to the Skyforge with one steel ingot and one leather strip, but the spell tome is not available on the list of items to be crafted.

 

Does the tome have to be crafted before completing The Eye of Magnus? Or do I need the Staff of Magnus in my possession when crafting the spell tome?

Tolfdir said something like "She didn't make it" at the start of The Eye of Magnus, but you don't see her body. Should I try it again before starting The Eye of Magnus?

I loaded an old save from when I had the Staff of Magnus but had not yet completed that that quest. The book was not craftable at the Skyforge. I then went to Winterhold, talked to Tolfdir, who said that Mirabelle didn't make it, and then triggered the end of The Staff of Magnus by telling him we should "get in there", which also started the quest The Eye of Magnus. I then fast traveled back to the skyforge, and the book was still not craftable. I fast traveled back to Winterhold, and completed the Eye of Magnus quest. 

 

So something about my set up makes it impossible to craft the book. sqs FindMirabelleQuest shows 0 0, for what that's worth. If crafting the book is supposed to start that quest, I guess I'm going to miss out. If crafting the book isn't really needed for the quest, and she's where I think she is, then I'll find her eventually.

You can get the book with additem or so. Reading book at the right place brings her back.

If I on the pc I look into conditions.

 

However, additional crafting options are added to the Skyforge after completing the quest Glory of the Dead at the end of the Companions questline and talking with Eorlund. "Nord Hero" weapons show up in a new subsection called "Draugr" and "Ancient Nord" armor shows up in the "Daedric" subsection. These items can only be crafted at the Skyforge, but do not require that any Smithing perks be unlocked.

I haven't done the Companion's questline this time, because I'm playing the whole thing as a vampire. I did get the book with the additem command.

Ok, convinced.

Replaced Skyforge requirement by the Loverstone ability. Activate Loverstone, then every forge can be used.

I hesitate to make it without any requirements.

 

In the download I explained the point to get her out. A good follower framework should do it. I am not sure, if she can be recruited in the Vanilla way.

If so, I can make a fix, like a second book or so.

 

PS:

you will cross several cells she cannot enter or leave the regular way. So keep her as follower until you reach Winterhold.

Releasing her here will start her business same as before she got killed. (same NPC, same packages).

Man am I glad to stumble upon this mod, I was looking for some mod that would bring back Mirabelle in a way that doesn't break anything for ages. Deaths of unique NPCs is what was stopping me from finishing that questline so many times. Thank you!

Is is possible to make a mod that brings back Ancano (non-hostile) and Savos Aren in the same way?

Will check, but I am sure this becomes much more tricky.

The Archmage, there can only be one. Needs editing game scripts. Quest Branches. Will take a while to fully understand before making changes.

 

BTW, the brought back Mirabelle is one of the best Freelancers I have found.

How to use:

 

Do NOT read the book until evereything has settled down (Savos body must be gone)

 

Read the text, find him. He will be dead.

Bring him back alive, use the spell (Lesser Power). Do NOT use console to resurrect.

 

Back alive, he will walk back. Just wait a bit before you port to the College. Better, visit another city to give him a bit time.

If you encounter him, he will greet you as Archmage and does his  routine.

As it's the original NPC with original Ai, he cannot be follower etc. except you use a framework or increase relationship.
