Bashis Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 i went through my .ini and finally fixed my shadows in game to not be blocky and just plain ugly, worked pretty well, except shadows on the players body, no matter what i tweak or change i cant seem to smooth out shadows that are on the player chars physical body. Â here's a screenshot of what 'm talking about, in the background/on the floor the shadows are decent, but the side of the shadow cast on the pc looks blocky as hell, anyone find a fix for this? searching around google all i can find are other problems besides this one or people just saying to use an enb, which i personally cant stand. Â
CGi Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 if you use ENB: ENB is supposed to make all shadows smoother/not blocky.
Ark of Truth Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 Common Skyrim bug. Â Make sure that you are using the ENB settings and that Anti-aliasing and Anisotropic Filtering are disabled in the Skyrim Launcher and through your hardware.
Vioxsis Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 or people just saying to use an enb, which i personally cant stand.
Bashis Posted December 6, 2013 Author Posted December 6, 2013 well, looks like i'm just going to stick with the blocky shadows, i've got a setup of graphic mods that an enb will just ruin, and the results of what i have are better looking than any enb ive seen, and i still get my 60 fps because the only thing im using enb for is the boost, no graphic modification by it.
CGi Posted December 6, 2013 Posted December 6, 2013 i actually know exactly what you mean, as i don't use ENB to modify the color spaces, as no matter which ENB i use, it always is only looking good under a few conditions or in specific areas.Due to this, i only use the GodRays, the memory patch and the shadow settings from ENB (no SSAO), as i pefer less blocky and slightly darker shadows and only a few FX (like godrays), which i won't get w/o using ENB. This way i don't run into trouble with no longer working night vision as well.
