Armise Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 This is not about a particular exception or unexpected behavior, but rather about what behavior is expected of the Body Selector feature. Say I install additional bodies, in a version that is "more compatible" with WW (so, not a default replacement / override). To show any of the additional bodies on any sim, I have to open the Wicked option in the pie menu of a sim in life mode, and go through the specific body selector menu ? Is there no way to show them in CAS when creating a new game ? Or to have them populated at random through the sims population / newly generated ?
Crashdown117 Posted August 28, 2024 Posted August 28, 2024 Well, body mods usually have a corresponding CAS part so you can easily see what things would look like in your game, but since we're talking about TS4 here, the only way to "properly" apply them to your Sims is by using WW and going through the Body Selector menus. Of course, things would be easier if there was something like a Body Selector within CAS, but that would probably require some actual "modding support" effort from the game devs (which means it's not gonna happen). As for (randomly) applying body parts to other Sims: That's why the WW body selector has those three options for "This Sim", "All Sims" and "Random Sims" (not sure what they're called exactly, as I don't really read those labels anymore and play with a German transaltion anyway). Obviously, "This Sim" will only affect the currently selected Sim and "All Sims" has an effect similar to using a default replacement (although it will always be limited by the gender settings of the currently selected Sim, even for body parts like tongues or feet). The third option, however, will randomly apply your choices to a fraction of the overall Sim population (again, restricted by the gender settings of the currently selected Sim). IIRC, the percentage for this can be changed somewhere within the WW settings, but I can't say where exactly off the top of my head. Bear in mind, though, that a change in Body Selector will not change the appearance of any clothing items. If your Sim is wearing some standard-issue clothing, it will still look like the default body shape, even if you apply a notably different body model (e.g. EVE), so some undressing situations might become a bit weird after a random change.
