rgbjackal Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 Hi, I was wondering if anybody had issues opening certain MCM menus, when they were working just fine before. I was making a new playthrough with the same modlist, and when I was configuring the mods through their MCM, certain submenus just wouldn't open. Has anybody encountered this issue before, or has a fix for this? Thank you for your time!
traison Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 When quests start, it tends to break MCM. Some mods do this wrong where they start the quest directly from a button press, when what they really should do is wait for the menus to close before starting it. Issues like these go away by closing and opening MCM however so if that doesn't work for you, post the Papyrus log.
anjenthedog Posted August 23, 2024 Posted August 23, 2024 I've noticed that changing values in one MCM *may lead to the MCM system locking until you exit (allowing its values to be written) before you can reenter the menu system to change values in another MCM. make sure to exit the MCM completely after making a change to a given mod's MCM values before opening another. Some mods don't seem to be affected, ie you can change their values and still open another MCM successfully, others however are less forgiving.

Ok so I enabled logs and then booted up the game, played until it crashed, and no log appeared. Something must be very wrong with my game lol
